How long does it take for a sent car to show up? Where does it show up? do you recieve a noification?

Its pretty much instant, its under the community "gifts" tab, there will be a red star next to community when something is delievered.

A few seconds maybe. Sometimes you get the sound and accompanied red star on the community tab (sometimes it doesn't show up unless you change screens/menus). But all gifts go into the Community > Gift tab

I had to wait a for a day for one of my gifts to show up. I think there is server lag sometimes.

Ye true. The server sometimes has a few 'laggs'. This won't show up very often but I've had it once. It took a day till it was in my box. Luckily it hadn't disappeared.

quick question: if you send a car to a friend that you cant sell (Formula GT for instance) would they receive it? I ask because a friend tried to send me his XJ13 which left his garage but never came to me.

I think your seasonal event records are kept in the server so it wouldn't matter if you load up your back up or not. Don't quote me on that though. As for your question, you will get your car back.
