in this months psw kazourni was asked if gamers could have a city to just drive about in with traffic. I think this would be great as i get bored driving about just messin about on free run by myself. What do you all think please post a reply. Ps this would just be one course and would not do away with the racing courses without traffic.

I'd love it. Stupid as it is, Midtown Madness is a lot of fun just to goof around in, without running any races.

Traffic? Pedestrians? Try out Midnight Club from Rockstar games. They have Lower Manhattan (Including twin towers) and most of London, England to race around it. Makes for a great 2 player game! My brother and I often race head to head for hours.

Yeah, no traffic. There's other games for that. GT is strictly a racing game and that's why I love it so much.

What I would like to see is a street game, with the dynamics of 'fast and furious' sorta like midnight club, only with playability. I think our beloved gt creators should use their advanced abilities and experience to create a game with out a GT name, but all the gt speed, and excitement. Losing the actual licenses, but using similar to scale cars would leave automakers free of the guilt of endorsing street racing. We could then have damage modelling, cross traffic, maybe the occasional unfortunate pedestrian.
Basically call it Street Turismo. sort of like tokyo extreme zero only with surface streets in addition to highways.

mmm we don't want GT to become a Midtown Madness  do we? If real Super Cars don't go driving around City Centres then it would be unrealistic in :gt:, right? :D

Hasnt anyone heard of the superb game called burnout, you drive in traffic (or into it) you have mad crashes you get crazy speed boosts, and there is a sequel (although from what ive seen of the sequel there seems to be some rice in it) which is looking promising as well. Remember GT is dubbed "The real driving Simulator " mind you I wouldnt mind taking out my GT-0ne roadcar and scaring al the other cars on the street, but I doubt this will happen. Although I have heard that they want to include long twisty roads in GT4, but probably more to improve the rally aspects of the game.

there is a nice street racing game out right now that takes longer to beat than gt3, although the physics are ghetto its realy fun, and has every rice option immaginable, and many a variety of them, its called tokyo xtreme racer zero , i think, you should buy it, it should be dirt cheap right now

I agree what b0rderman said:

BUT I have to admit the sound effects and graphics of Tokyo-X racer zero is no match for GT3.....

Despite of the flaws, it is a good game...

Nah, common Guys, all this would take away the Racing aspect of :gt:.... it would just be another Arcade Crazy Driving Game :shakehead

If you wanna drive in a City, buy GTA or Tokyo Racer... there's no need to convert GT  Not that it'll ever happen

I might try and pick the first game up for cheap. My friend had a dodgy pirate copy that didnt work on certain levels, but boy Burnout is a coo game. Allot of people go burnout whats that? I think its quite an underrated game. Personally I think its got to be the greatest arcade style racer on the PS2, it certainly kicks Ridge racer up the arse with the steel toe capped boot.
