Long time lurker, first time poster....but ok, I figure someone here has to know whats up with this.
I'm using my roommate's PS3 (old fat 40gb I think or something), and I've been playing GT5 like crazy on it of course, but he got a new place and will be taking the system with him, so I'm left to buy a new slim model...the problem is, I really don't wanna lose all my time invested in GT5 (that would seriously suck). Is there anyway humanly possible to copy my data and saves off his ps3 and onto my new one (including the GT5 stuff)? Even if say, I set up my new ps3 with the same user account name and attach my psn id to it, will that help? I'll run the back up utility onto a FAT3 drive, will that copy everything on there, including the copy protected stuff? Or is there no way at all to use copy protected saves from one system on another? Because if so, that is really flawed and messed up....that literally means HOURS and HOURS of time in GT5 (and other games) just wasted. I mean did Sony not create/allow any loophole for this kind of scenario? Help!
