Transmission problem

I bought a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII GSR, and saved up and got a Full racing transmission. I put it on, and it did theu sual, increase in acceleration,et., btu the speed dropped from 172 to 135. What did i do wrong, and what can i do to fix it?
 
The gear ratios in the Full-Racing Transmission, if you don't change them, are shorter than other gearboxes, resulting in quicker acceleration and reduced top speed. Lengthen the gear ratios (use the AutoGear slider to start with, until you're more familiar with it) to get a better top speed (sacrificing a little acceleration though).
 
I have heard before that Full-Racing Transmission hurts the Skylines the most. Unless you change the ratios to a higher level like what Famine said, you could get psychotic fast.

BTW, I even changed the final gear ratio for my F094/S to a higher level and it increases top speed but sacrifices acceleration. Ironically, it is not a cheat :trouble: :cool:

Hey, no problem Nate because I played GT3 for a long time already and I suddenly felt dawned when I decided to figure out the gear ratios at the beginning. It makes the difficulty automatically easier and that is very good news if you have a Full-Racing Transmission installed ;) :cool:
