i started the game with the miata, and quickly found the accel to be excruciating. once i got the race chip, turbo 1, and the soprts muffler, i bought the sports transmission, but here's the problem- my acceleration is great, but that gearbox has taken 20 mph off my top speed. any suggestions?

Hi, Adjust you gear ratio's and final drive setting, your default settings are not always much good.
Every track is different, gears which suit one track, might be useless on another.
PS that's if you can do this with the sports one !!! If not buy the next level of gearbox, when you can afford it.

You'll need the third transmission to adjust the gear ratios and final drive. Your sport tranny sacrifices top speed for acceleration. The perfect setup would be a balance between the two, and should also suit the track. Lotsa corners? Go for acceleration. Lotsa straights? Top speed. And so on...
