Lately I've noticed I've been tuning my transmissions to the fallowing %: (awd)
1: 0%
2: 40%
3: 75%
4: 95%
5: 90%
6: 80%
Final gear: made to top out around a 1/4 mile
Max speed: lowest

Gives good acceleration, but as all cars are different can someone tell me why this is working? I'm kind of confused and I want to find the flaws with this 'formula' as I know it could become better. Or is it just a good base formula to start with?

i normally do it like...

1: 0%
2: 45%
3: 75-80%
4: 100%
5: 100%
6: 100%

^^^Generally that's what I do but every car has a sweet spot and it's up to the tuner to find it.

I have a subie that's has 6th around 40%, very short trans. A few awd cars like a very short initial setup and then stretched .

You'd be surprised how many low-hp AWD cars like this trans setup. Especially ones that top out well before redline. It shocked me when I first tried it on an Audi.

That might be the reason why my 22B is so slow compared to all you guys. 💡

I tried a very short setup with the 22b and didn't have much luck with it, ran around the same or slightly slower than a straight flip, it's one of the trickier ones for me. I think it may benefit from slightly too short trans with a mild stretch say 75-80% full on 6th. It's just a theory though and haven't tested it yet. I found it difficult to get a perfect run too with finicky shift points.

Yeah I gave up on it a while back, maybe I'll give it another shot and try what you just mention.
