Where have you travelled to that really stuck with you? Or where would you like to go? I've been two places I really miss.

Hawaii. For our honeymoon my wife and I went to Kauai for a week. We also went to the big island for a couple days and visited the volcano. Expensive but worth it. Snorkeling, kyaking, hiking, swimming, drinking. It really was paradise and I was actually depressed about having to go home.

Victoria, Vancouver Island. Sort of the opposite of Hawaii, but a Pacific island nonetheless. So green and clean with lots of ocean and whales and such. And a good deal for Americans.

One place I still have to go to is New Zealand. I saw a travel show about it recently hosted by Helen Clark. It just made me want to go even more. But it's even more expensive than Hawaii, to get to anyway. .

Its funny that I live so close to the Grand Canyon, one of the most popular tourist destinations on Earth, but it doesn't do much for me. I've seen it. I've hiked to the floor. Meh... It's too hot down there.

I'm going to have to say Hawaii as well. We went there for two weeks a couple of years ago. Stayed on Kauai for the majority of the time(the most beautiful of all the islands, in my opinion) and then spend a little less than a week on the big island. Unfortunately I was too young to appreciate some of it. I'm definately going back there again though, eventually.

The one holiday that made a big impression on me, was my skiing trip to Austria four years ago.

It was my first wintersports holiday ever, and the most snow i've seen untill then was 15 a 20 cm.
When i arrived at my Austrian destination, 140cm had allready been fallen. The whole country was white.
It was the most beautiful thing i've seen in my life.

It snowed the entire week, and it got to the point that when it was time to leave, all the roads where blocked and our little village was inaccessible. It took 24 hours before we could leave to go home.
When we got home, we heard on the news that 400cm! of snow had fallen in that particular village and the region surrounding it. Biggest snowfall in 30 years.

That holiday i will never forget.

SC- was down there last summer. Stayed in my grandparent's trailer. Everything is bigger down there, including the girls (hehe:D ). It got hot as hell some days. In other terms, SC > NJ.;)

Hahhaha Helen Clark what a joke shes a *****!

In the summer we get huge arse downfalls sometimes in the North of The North Island is Northland.....funny that.

Anyhoo come to NZ it's cool

i haven't been many places, since i haven't been here long.
i'd really like to go live in either Seattle, Washington or Tawas, Michigan once i get out of college. i like the cold, i like rain, and snow brings it all together :).

edit: i went to OBX last summer; nuclear mosquitos.

I really liked Adelaide. Something in me is quite sad that in my forthcoming trip to Australia I won't have time to go back there.

Flying into Sydney at 6am is an experience I won't forget - glad to be repeating that one!

And getting drunk in the bar atop the CN tower was pretty special!

Key West and Bonita Springs Florida. Summer '00. Drove all the way down there from here in STL in the MPV. And we took my dad's youngest bro, and he was hilarious(as usual). We Met up with my mom's sis and my uncle in Bonita Springs(they have a house there)and we stayed with them for a while, then went down to Key West.

The most memorial part was with the Mopeds. Key west is like 5 X 5 mi, and there are scooter rental places all along the main road. So we thought that my uncle, my dad, and my mom would rent them, and I'd ride with my dad, and my bro would go with my mom(cause he was 16, and the place we went to had a minimum age of 18). So my mom's never driven a motorcycle, and she isn't that good on a bicycle. So she gets on with my bro, and we were gonna help here ride it. She went down. but everything was ok. So then my dad peer-pressures her to try again, and she went to hit the brake lever but twisted the throttle, and rocketed into the rear quarter pannel of a white Mercedes C280, leaving a huge black tire mark on it. She got a little cut on her knee, and was pissed at my dad, so we give up. If she can't ride, no one will. So we go back to the hotel, my uncle has his own room, but we have to call eachother as to where we are going and stuff. So we decide to go the downtown Key West, and he's like "I'll just stay at the pool", so we thought he was safe and wouldn't get into trouble. So we leave, and as we come back, we go into the little parking garage of the hotel, and here comes my uncle on a scooter, only something is wrong. His clothes are torn up, he looks like a mess, blood all over, and a "Popeye" elbow thing going on. So we take him to our room and get him fixed up, and he said that he just wanted to rent one and go riding around, but he went to a different scooter place that had no insurence. Anyway, he was riding, going about 30 or so, and a car cut him off, and he skidded on his side, and used his elbow as an auxiliary brake. So he's ok, but the scooter is pretty bad. So we all go and take it back(just a short walk from our hotel), and he's standing at the counter, and we are sitting behind him, and the guy goes "That'll be $628 for the damage" and my uncle just pauses. We should have just taken the scooter home with us($100 down on it as a return guerrenty tryp deal)but he payed. We still laugh about it now, it was great.

And we saw the C280 on our way leaving Key West, still with the black mark.
