Midsommar leads me to belive that it is a solstice type thing. But that was 3 days ago. Is it different nearer the pole? I wouldn't have thought it was.

It's an old heathen thing, we celebrate that the sun never really sets, but you're right about it being 3 days ago, some jackass wanted to be PC and moved the actual celebration to a weekend..
