Trivial but why no option to buy

Well it seems most if not all the car manufacturers have pit uniforms racing suits depicted in the game, you seem to wear the manufactures racing suit automatically in time trials.
It seems strange to me that they went to the effort to model them yet I cant either toggle their use as an option or buy the suit.
As I said trivial but they are already there.

Not making the most of what they've got is a PD speciality, as is not allowing users access to all the content & features.

Just like how tire wear and damage can't be turned on in offline free run/practice mode, even if it's there in online mode. Dumb decisions that no one understand.
