Trofeo Cappuccino - Interest Thread

I've recently been talking with StigsHero about running a feeder series to the Cappuccino Cup, and I've decided to see if there's any interest in it. The series will be called Trofeo Cappuccino.

The Tracks:

The series would run a similar schedule to the Capp Cup, 6 races at small tracks. There would be a custom track race sometime during the season with a possibility of rain.

The Cars:

There would be two classes in Trofeo Cappuccino. GT, for race-modded cars in the 100hp range, with full adjustability for all the parts, and ST, with aerodynamics being the only adjustable part, to make it easier for beginners to race. Both classes would have some cosmetic restrictions, in order to make the cars look like true Cup Cars More info on each class will follow in a seperate post.

Looks good. I think our 2 groups should compliment each other nicely and provide Cappuccino enthusiasts another outlet to get their caffeine fix. 👍

To start off, Lancer's and my Capp groups will run side-by-side with a loose correlation between the two and as they evolve we hope to integrate them more and perhaps have some kind of progression system where drivers start off in the ST class and eventually work their way up to the full RM Capp Cup class. There are a lot of possibilities and I'm quite interested to see how the Trofeo and ST classes run together! Should be lots of fun!

When you mean feeder series are you talking about like a promotion and relegation setup type like they have in football (soccer). Having the Cappuccino Cup as the top league and the Trofeo Cappuccino as a bottom league.

Ex: Racers in 14th-16th in Cappuccino Cup are relegated and racers in 1st-3rd in Trofeo Cappuccino are promoted in the next season.

Again I don't know what I'm suggesting. Sorry for this but I was just curious when you said feeder series and the football thing came into mind.

It might grow to something like this but to start we are just going to run parallel to each other. Drivers are free to race in both series but for now there won't be any promotion/demotion between them. The Capp Cup proved to be rather popular and started to run out of room so we hope this will be a way for more people to get their caffeine buzz. 👍

As StigsHero said, This is definitely on the plans for future seasons, however, I don't like the idea of demoting drivers based on speed. They should be able to compete where they're comfortable, plus it's less complicated to figure out who goes where. And don't be sorry, suggestions are a great help

What's the point of regulating that? Seriously.

It's just an idea to keep the cars looking consistent, like real cup cars (see the ingame Lupos or mm-Rs for examples). If it works, it'll stay, if not, it'll change or be discarded.

Also, there's a new rule:

Cappuccino Cup Season 1 drivers may use their Capp Cup cars, with no changes except for removal of the turbo, for Trofeo Cappuccino Season 1.

Also, a Social Group is up.

I like the sound of this, especially as I can only run in one of the Capp Cup races due to time zone. Ijn the poll, I like the Sunday evening timeslot, but I'd like a midweek fix of cappuccino, so could we try 8PM GMT on say a tuesday or wednesday?

Hosting isn't the problem, getting enough people is.
