Trophies - I'm really confused

This screen says I have 100 trophies, am at level 4 & 66%.


This screen then says I have 53 trophies & am at 100%.

Why do they differ? What do the different percentages stand for?

When comparing to friends I show level 4 with 100 trophies. I have a friend that is level 19 & shows 2382 Bronze, 629 Silver, 162 Gold & 23 Platinum!

How in the HELL does this work?

Why do they differ?

The first screen is how many PSN trophies you've accumulated in total across all of your games. The second is how many PSN trophies you've accumulated in GT6 only.

I surmise that you've picked up 47 trophies in other games. And I further surmise that it's in GT5.

What do the different percentages stand for?

The one that shows your GT6 trophies only shows your progress through the game's trophies. 100% means you have them all.

The one that shows your PSN trophies shows your "PSN Level" and your progress through it.

Each PSN trophy has a value. That value is 15 'points' for Bronze, 30 for Silver, 90 for Gold and 180 for Platinum. You need a certain accumulated value of points to progress to the next level. These are:
Level 1 = 0
Level 2 = 200
Level 3 = 600
Level 4 = 1200
Level 5 = 2400
Level 6 = 4000
Level 7 = 6000
Level 8 = 8000
Level 9 = 10000
Level 10 = 12000
Level 11 = 14000
Level 12 = 16000
Level 13 = 24000

And each level after that up to Level 27 is 8000pt more than the previous one. Level 27 and above is 10,000pt more than the previous one.

Your PSN trophy stats say you have:
89 Bronze = 1,335pt
7 Silver = 210pt
3 Gold = 270pt
1 Platinum = 180pt

This gives you 1,995pt which, if you look it up above, is 66.25% of the way between levels 4 and 5 - giving you your PSN Level of 4 at 66%.

Crikey. He will have 73,320pt which is level 19 at 17%.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was tearing my hair out! I just assumed they were all to do with GT6.

So yeah, the 53 in GT6 & 47 in GT5 which I never bothered trying to Plat.
