I recently bought a Logitech Driving Force Wheel, Ive been trying to drift with it for a good 2 weeks now, and i cant pull a drift off successfully. What happens is when i go into the corner and start to drift, i go to countersteer, but i just keep turning in the direction i was drifting in and spin out. I watched the replays a few times and i noticed that the wheels werent turning when i countersteered, strange. Could my wheel possibly be defective? I've tried messing with all the settings and stuff, but nothing seems to work. Please Help!

You need to make sure that your steering asist is on Amature, or Professional (prefered). The simulation setting, is made for grip driving, and is not well suited to drifting, at all..........

;)

I can pull off pretty nice drifts w/ the setting on Pro... Have u tried w/ a lower horspower car like a trueno w/ 157-160 hp, or a mr2 gts? I also have the old driving force wheel, i just bought it about a week and a half ago.

:edit: i know u probably already have, but make sure the wheel's colaborated properly :edit:

I've been drifting with the Logitech Wheel for a couple months now and it seems to do fine once you get the hang of it. i doubt your wheel is defective. I bet you're just not used to it yet. You'll get better. Don't worry.

heh....thats calibrated.

U have the non pro wheel, right?? lol sounds like i',m talkin about a video card... oh God ...how i need a new one...:(

Ok now i really think that my wheel is broken or something because the same thing happens when i grip race. Yes i calibrated the wheel, and i tried all the different settings, but nothing seems to work. I called logitech today and they said that it may be defective as my case isn't the first. So ill be shipping it to them tomorrow. I should have just bought the Driving Force Pro. Well thanks for your help guys, and Ill remember to use the search button!

well, i hope everything works out well.. jw... when u try and drift... do u feel the wheel kinda loosening up in the opposite direction of the turn kinda letting u know to countersteer?

lol... yeah.. its defective... the driving force is a great wheel... despite the bugs of it randomely not working about 1 out of every 30 races... if u can get the pro... as i said before. i hope everything works out ok. keep us updated

Well it turns out that i cant get a full refund unless they cant fix it. So hopefully they can so i can start playing with it again, but on the other hand i hope they cant so i can just buy the driving force pro.

i'm lookin foward to buyin the wheel in a few months... I hardly turn the non pro wheel at all when i drift, so i probably wont be turning left and right like a madman w/ the 900 degree mode on... i dunno...

I've drifted with pro wheel drving force (logitech) for 3 weeks now
and it seemed fine to me, it's a bit hard to drive and control I always spin when i forgot to loosen the gas (bad habbit)

i wish i had a wheel....:mad::sad::mad:::sad::mad:::sad::mad:::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::::sad::

i cant aford one....80$.....whats a cheep one cost?

man i just got my MC2 and its a *****.....course this was the only one i could find in town. Sucks that i have a small room and no frontal desk to sit it on.

God im stupid, the thing was set so it would start turning at around 15-20 degrees instead of 1. Now that i fixed it this wheel is alot easier to handle.

Hasn't this been a topic before.

I don't say this very often. . . . okay . . . I've NEVER said this before but, the search button is there for a reason. And don't tell me that it was hard to find the topic because I just typed "Drifting with wheel" and like 30 posts came up, namely one by Bryan C from a couple of months back.

Yes thank u for the reminder, and i did search, but it seemed like none of the other topics related to mine, that's why i made this one. Again i am sorry :p
