I used to use the phono cables you get with the PS3, running the Video input to my TV, then Audio to my amplifier - thus into my speakers giving a nice sound.
Got a new TV though, an HD TV.
I've now got my HDMI cable, from my PS3 into my TV. However, the TV I got doesn't have any outputs for sound, other than optical out. It does though, have 2 SCART sockets on it. They both have little arrows underneith them, pointing opposite ways to eachother suggesting that they will allow audio/video input and also output audio/video.
I've seen those scart to phono blocks about, with tiny switches on them ''output/input''. Do you reckon this could be my solution?
(amp does not have any other inputs other than phono btw).
