Hello, I was recently given a computer featuring ATI Radeon graphics card and something called XFX Play Hard. I inserted the XFX disc and registered for new drivers, now this page has come up and I haven't actual got a clue what I'm meant to do. I don't want to skip this, as according to the manual the part after is important and can affect the gaming quality to quite an extent. Does anybody know what your meant to do?

Sorry if I haven't provided enough info, feel free to ask.

Flickr is full of crap and won't let me get the URL, so go here

Just click the "Access Full Support". It should just install the required software you need. Or you can get the official graphics drivers from here. That download would autodetect the graphics card to get the latest drivers. Either way through that software you have or through the official AMD website will do the job.

Uninstall all of that crap. I never use those disks that the manufacturers provide. All you need right now is just the AMD/ATI drivers. Head over to AMD's website and find the drivers for your card.

Ah but some software can help you if a graphics card was failing. It would be able to tell if a fan was failing since the software was designed for that brand. Best example is my graphics card. Asus SmartDoctor closed my game at the time and told me that my graphics card's fan was failing to go any faster than 10% and would of overheated if it were not for the software. So I would use the manufacturer's software before using the AMD software since they can have software that monitor's the health of your graphics card. I know it saved me trouble.

What else does that program do? Would it work for other MFG GPUs? (Powercolor)

It found one driver not installed, I installed it. Is there anything else I need to do, mainly with all the download links on the X something page.

- I am the thickest computer person ever

It allows you to overclock the graphics chip and it's memory. It will tell you the F and C readings for every Asus graphics card and some Asus graphics cards have sensors in the onboard memory for temperature monitoring. Plus it tells you what speed the GPU fan is running at from a scale of 0 to 10 with an rpm count next to the chart. My GPU's fan runs at 1128RPM at 10% where it can run currently. You can also disable the overheat protection and manually adjust the GPU fan speeds or use the SmartCooling feature(adjust how fast you want the fans during different GPU loads) in the settings. Some graphics card can have voltages adjusted.

To answer your second question, no. The software is only made for Asus graphics cards and other big name graphics cards come with their own software.

@Jai: If it's done installing then it should be fine to play games. Just make the software is installed and check the "Device Manager" to see if the "Display Adapter" has a driver.

Nope. If it's installed then you should be good to go. Of course I would recommend making an image backup of your computer just in case if you end of trashing windows somehow if it does not have a recovery partition.

That AMD device is your HD 6770 card. Does it show a yellow triangle? If not then the software is installed.

I landed on a page and selected Custom, now what am I meant to do here?

You should not need to install that since you already have the XFX software installed. Keep it. You can update the software anytime.

I have finished the disc installation, skipped the download list. And it says I'm registered on the site, I'm good to go?

If you installed all that you're good to go, manufacturer utilities such as whatever the XFX tool is are generally gimmicks as you can either already do everything inside Catalyst (AMD's driver suite) or with programs like RadeonPro or MSI Afterburner.

Download GPU-Z (http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/SysInfo/GPU-Z/) and run it, if you've installed the drivers correctly you should see 'Catalyst 11.something' mentioned in the Driver Version field.
