well I finally got my copy today and I'm working on my A license. I won the Lupo when I got my B license but I sold it and bought a 91 gts skyline. I still had enough left over to buy a race exhaust and intake from amuse, but the car just IS NOT FAST! Therefore, I cannot even win the beginner races! Anyone have any suggestions to what I could do or should I just erase my game and start over? HELP!...thanks

Try winning the 90's sports car races in the Japanese hall.. by the way, how fast is not fast? How much power does this car you're speaking of have?
 
do ALL the licences b4 u start buying cars!!

the special licence is actually very easy indeed!!

then copy your save (via ps2 browser) onto another card, so u can start again later without the agony of licences hehe

then just buy anything u fancy, there's so many ways u can play this game.... oh and power isnt always best (as i found out with many cars, esp the lotus carlton).... dont bother modding to the max

forget power, esp at the start, just have fun

ps do the suzuki races as soon as poss... the gsx r/4 REALLY rox!!! u will need a maxed and NOS'd suzuki s2 to win it hehe
 
Or go do missions 1-10 for an extra 10 grand and a new car. They are easy to do!
 
hmmm...........i started with a gts skyline (can't remember year) and bought a race exhaust (about 230bhp) and went to the sunday cup and destroyed the competition maybe it's the way you drive.
 
did u try an oil change?
 
Thanks for all the help guys. I ended up going to the sunday cup races and killing them, then I bought a gtr n1 same year, tuned it out after many awd and sunday cup races, then found the capri rally trick and ended up buying two nsx type r's, and then won an hsc. I guess I spoke too early, thanks for the help!( I also remembered that b-spec existed!!!)

Can get a used Supra RZ.. put Turbo 2 on it and make something like 80k in the Turbo races. It can win FR challenge and Clubman Cub easily too. So far its my workhorse. Started with a cheap EVO and saved 25k.. After that its all going pretty smooth from here so far.

I started with a lil' civic sir2 and race flywheel... dont get how you couldnt get anywhere...
