I went with the Radiant Red '04 Tacoma X-Runner from the OCD: Full intake and exhaust, ECU, supercharger, height-adjustable suspension, and the 6-speed close ratio gearbox, on comfort soft tires.

PP are now at 480 and, while taking second place is easy enough, I'm still having a hell of a time catching the lead...uh...truck, on some courses.

I used the Ford...full mod....only one I had...no problems. Now I'll go get me a couple of other trucks and have some NEW fun. 👍

used the dodge ram was piss easy only truck i had that had been tuned since i bought it for an earlier race during the game

The Silverado is the best kept secret in the game....

I used a Ford Lightning, with the ECU tune, racing air filter, sport hard tires, and everything else was stock. This setup made for some fun races. The Tacoma is hard to catch on Tsukuba (3 tries) and Fuji (2 tries), but I won fairly easy on the others. I had a blast on "The Ring". I had so much fun, and there are alot of cars in the OCD that I need, I will be doing alot of grinding on "The Ring" in a few different trucks. I will probably take my Ram out next time, since I am a Mopar man. I just hadn't driven my Lightning yet, so I decided to take it out for a spin.

Not that keen on trucks but used my Ford F-150 Lightning '03 SVT that I had tuned to the max and it there really was no race.

Now I am going to try each and every truck in the stock version and see how well I do. This should be good challenge for a day or two.👍

Just happy to see a race pop. :)

Tacoma with stage 1 weight reduction, 425pp, sports suspension and racing mediums. Beat all the events in the 3-5 sec range, and was a surprising amount of fun on the 'Ring. It lacked the top-end speed (peaked in the low 130s) to post a truly fast time, but it ate bumps that normally unbalance the DTMs and hi-end road cars I usually prefer on this track. Its stability yielded very quick lines through many of the turns, particularly Adenauer-Forst, which the Tacoma handled better than any car I've had on the 'Ring.

Nice to be able to race our trucks. I tried the Chev SSR, stock, no oil change & sports hard. Way tooooooo slow, even when I changed to race trans & adjusted rear axle ratio. Tried Tacoma, same set up & got 5th. Both tries at Tsukaba. You need a bit of tuning to win, but lots of fun!!!

Yes it is. I ran the seasonal with no problems using the silverado running a height adjustable suspension, ecu, full weight reduction, windows, LSD, 6 speed close ratio, sports exhaust, catalytic converter, racing air filter on racing soft tires. I was easily running 57 at Tksuba and could probably run better if I really practiced with it.

In any case, I ran all races and was in first by the end of the opening lap and running consistent laps at that. No wheel spin what so ever. Settings looked like this I think:

height: -5,-5
Springs: 12.5, 9.5
Dampers 3,1
Camber 2.5, 2.0

LSD: 10/25/15

Worked well for me.

👍 Yup, the SST Concept '02 feels like a GTR really. Sport truck Race is a joke - A. I. still slow. We need more challenge PD. done in 20 or so minutes. Thanks anyway better than nothing.

Racing softs will make anything easy, was no need for any other tuning if you are going to use those tyres. You need to use sports hard if you want to make it anything like a challenge

Used the Ford lightning on the tsukabu race with an oil change and sport suspension and couldn't come close to first. I gain around a second a lap but that still puts me around 20 seconds back. I believe I managed to get up to 8th last night in that race.

I used my Tacoma on the Ring but it was heavily tuned.

I don't think stock vehicles are going to win races but I havent tried the Chevy trucks yet.

I did it in my fully tuned Ram.
The RING was fun 7:07.8xx is a nice time by the way :D (racing mediums)

For that challenge I might try to use the other Trucks and use some sport meds (and minimal power/weight tune).

Nurburgring - I bought the x runner from the ocd, hit the race straight away and noticed half way round that the oil light was on. Only an overenthusiastic pass on the last but one corner kept me from winning. Will be back for another go later.

PS Fair play to PD for getting these updates out - certainly wasn't expecting anything.

I did 7:28 in a fairly tuned Silverado. I crashed pretty badly so I'm hoping for something in the 7 flat range next time.

Also, this race feels a lot more competitive to me when using a similarly PPed car than many of the other seasonals. Major props to PD for putting it out.

I won Tsukuba with a fully tuned Midget 👍
On Fuji I came in second, but I recon I can win it, with manual gears...

The rest I'm gonna try later on. But I think that the Ring is a bit too much for the Midget..

Midget is awesome!

2.5s behind the winner at the ring in a standard tune Ford Lightening with stage 1 weight reduction. Just done the ECU and cat and it'll be time for a grind that I actually enjoy for once. Time for the 205 in OCD.

Nürburgring is easy with a stock "LIGHTNING" (358 bhp , 2132 kg , 434 PP , Comfort Soft) from the UCD.

Only ABS 1 was used.

Don´t complain.Take a stock RAM and you have a challenge.

This sounds FUN! When does it end and whats the payout like? Sounds like a good time to use my Ford. :)

IMHO it's more satisfying to beat a competent opponent at your skill level where you give it your all.

What you're saying is like "play a sport (golf, bowling, etc.) blindfolded vs 3 year olds."

xrunner with height adjustable suspension, sports exhaust and sport hards just like my real life xrunner on kdw2's, aero turbine muffler and drop blocks was a challenge, i won only by 1 second on my second try. super challenging race. no top end past 130 but hey the truck tops out at 127 in real life before fuel cut off so it was a pretty exciting race\\\

this was on the ring. forgot to say it lol

Am I the only one that uses the Chevrolet SSR '03? Tuned to a PP of 512 (all power upgrages except lighten 2) it will compete on Sport hard or get easy wins on Race hard.

Been trying to beat the ring with a fully built Midget II on comfort softs, (439pp) but it's nigglingly difficult. With the right gearing and some creative drafting down the back straight, it's possible on Sports Soft. Working my way down from there, now that I've got the correct top gear ratio.

I'm deliriously happy with this new set of races... This is what they need more of in his game... A decent challenge.

Used the Chevy SSR. Dropped the height by 5, ecu, racing filter, racing exhaust and cat, I think the PP is about 475. Used sport soft tires, which don't like grass or curbs, and I tended to smoke the tires quite a bit.
On a side note, it's really funny if and when you may start a slide and a 3 ton dodge ram hits you. I was spun by 2 different trucks on Mt. Aso while doing rather elegant looking slides.

I'm looking for a tune for the Midget. I'm not the best driver, but I can't manage better than 4th on Tsukuba. Gearing is around 106 or so, but I get pulled hard on all of the straights. I have a feeling it'll be even harder on the longer courses, but it's nice to craft a giant killer. :)
