Trying to get '63 GTO in sub-12s

hey. newbie here. dont know if this is anywhere else, so im putting it here. got a '63 pontiac GTO that im trying to get below 12s on the strip. so far my best is 12.194@approx 130 mph. ive tried softening the springs, changing the ride height, everything. i even have it on the bottle. there's too much wheel spin at the start. any help appreciated. thanks.

its the '63 Tempest LeMans GTO. i've tried lowering the tcs, but it lets the wheels spin too much. if i have the tcs on a higher setting, it slows me down b/c it is controlling the wheelspin. i got racing tires, but i dont have the soft compound tires yet. my car has 650 hp and 730ft/lb of torque.

More HP doesnt mean faster car. U should buy the
grand "cheat" of em all. The Nitro. Put it into power, and use it on the end.

BTW, it's a '64 GTO. There is no such thing as a GTO before '64. Anyway, the car has a lot of torque, so you should try lengthening the gears. It still might spin the tires, but not as much.

i got the nitro, thanks for clearing that up for me, i forgot what the year was, somehow i keep thinking '63, and ill try to lengthen the gears.

i did it! 11.9@139 mph(i think. the game only records the time). now i am going to try for 11.5, maybe even lower. i KNOW this car can do that.
