Right... last few days my DELL laptop has pretty much died. Clicking anywhere on Windows Explorer freezes it, its slow, and most worryingly, ALL security software I try to use is knocked out. I had Microsoft Security Essentials - it deactivated itself. Avast - does not work.

Currently running SuperAntiSpyWare as seen here and at the moment its just found 83 Adware Cookies, could this be reason why its going wrong?

And for your information, its Windows 7 Ultimate.

Use Malwarebytes. It's obvious that you got viruses on your computer. It's not dead but it's highly infected. I would not try booting it up too often as viruses can change their behavior(keep you from using other programs. Also rapidly tap F8 when you got it up and select "Safe Mode With Networking". There you can install the anti-virus software.

I will be able to tap F8 and re start it in normal mode afterwards won't I?

SuperAntiSpyware is as good as, if not better than malwarebytes. Tracking cookies would not be the source of the problem. Has the scan finished? Did it find anything else?

If not, open an elevated command prompt and run 'sfc /scannow'

Apologies for double posting but after looking around kapersky has found some dodgy files that may be toolkits:/

UPDATE:

Google Chrome has been uninstalled as a pre caution - I believe it is to do with that. Chrome is what I normally use and Internet Explorer is running ok. Windows Explorer is still crashing on occasions. McAfee Stinger is at work trying to snuff things out.

Use something better to clean out your computer, please.

Get MalwareBytes, run a full scan, if MalwareBytes doesn't pick anything up, get Combofix and follow any guide regarding using it correctly. ANYTHING, is better than McAfee.. You might as well just stare at your computer considering that's exactly what McAfee does. Re-install Chrome, nothing should be wrong with it unless you've been doing stupid crap with it.

I tried both. Ok now thirtip weird. I just deleted the alerted adware... And now its almost back to normal speed. Still trying to re activate security though..

The laptop is still freezing up. Its a little quicker but still pretty much terminal.

Right worse happened for my laptop so what happened with mine is, I can't open apps and stuff when i open apps it shows Reference Memory at (RANDOM NUMBERS) something and i can't open basically any apps or stuff like that i can only open adobe or antivirus but yea and i got my computer reformat and it works like a charm after so my suggestion is try reformatting your laptop!
