Tsukuba 9- hour endurance... this event hates me

Yeah so like the title says this event hates me. I was going to post this in the race reports section after I was happy to finally be done with this horrible event. However after two attempts the first went belly up after somehow the game became unpaused and sat overnight, needless to say I lost that one and realize it was entirely due to my own bungling. That however is not why this event hates me. Today I was just finishing up the race in a very competitive car that kept the racing close throughout. the timer counts down and the smile on my face grows....To be replaced moments later by a look of utter disbelief. I cross the line 30.xx ahead of the second place car. What the hell no results pop up:nervous:. The car just keeps driving around the track at 50mph. I waited 10 more minutes the total race timer keeps counting. Lap counter does not go up as my car crawls mourfully around the track.:sick::crazy::yuck::grumpy::mad::mad::mad:. I have heard of tis glich on here before. I mean wow, just wow all that time, all that effort just down the tubes and not a 🤬 thing I can do about it. I'm just crushed. So disappointed.

I don't know if I can bring myself to attempt this incredibly dull race again. At this point I can't even bring myself to put the X2010 around it for the 4 to 5 hours needed to park the car. I don't really know what else to say. My wife did say, "Wow you're certainly taking this well." I just sat there couldn't believe it..........:boggled:. I can now understand why people go postal.
 
I would say wait and hope they actually patch in mid race saves.

But seriously, that sucks. To make it worse it's on a short, boring track.

Exactly. If that happened to me, I wouldn't be happy or even smile again in days. Such a tremendously boring enduro on a tremendously boring track. PD could've picked something another track that's a thousands times better at the same time frame. I would take even Trial Mountain than Tsukuba.

Happened to me also you have to turn off Personal BGM and not have any BGM selected. Should do the trick 👍 Sorry for that waste of time though.

I do not do endurance races because I don't have time

Trial Mountain would be a fun endurance course, i remember having trouble with it in GT2 the 30 lap endurance.

On Topic: Yeah, turn off all BGM, but I do feel for ya, i hate when that happens makes me go :grumpy: then :nervous:
 
If you attempt this again your more of a man than me :lol:
 
No BGM, ok I didn't think I had that on but I'll definitely check. Don't think I'll re-run this particular event anytime soon...too many bitter feelings towards this track right now. But should be useful in the 2 remaining 24hr events. I don't know what I would do if it happened in one of those, but I would probably be down at least one controller and maybe a T.V. I hope I could handle it better than that but I really don't know...


As for you guys that think this was funny, thank you, at least my nine hours of my life(more than that if breaks are counted) that I will never get back had some purpose, if I made you laugh. I mean at least someone got something good out of this. I suppose it is a funny story if it happened to someone else, and I'm sure I'll laugh about it later but now...no

fld: Any course would be more interesting than this track. This is especially true because we already have a 4 hour event here(I really didn't mind this event). I really miss the 2 hour trial mountain from GT4 or El Capitan I think that was a 2 hour event if I remember correctly. Almost any other track any other race length would have been preferable I think.(except maybe TGTT that would be worse, but other than that.....)

Sorry to hear that. Thanks for the heads up as I have yet to try any of the endurance events. I will make sure BGM is off before attempting any AFTER in race save is implemented. I am deadbeat continuously driving 3 hrs of FGT championship. I doubt I can sit thru any endurance events esp tsukuba or suzuka without pause. I would be absolutely furious and sad if this happens to me. Hopefully better luck if u try it again.

Suzuka was easy and I even found it fun I must say. I do enjoy endurance races, as long as you use a competitive car that will force you to fight for the win and keep you fighting to improve your driving they are fun. What makes this race bad is:

Number 1: the track is just to short.

Number 2: You have already run it in the roadster 4hr.

Those two things just kill it for me. I love the 4hr Nurburgring race thank you Famine and GT-Sail for that you guys keep this event fun and I will post some reports when I get time to watch replays. If the rest of you guys haven't seen the thread on this check out the race reports section. Great read and really keeps me motivated to keep improving.

I would say this too. Oh wait we've all been saying this for about 9 months now.:)

But just hopefully this will be done in the next month.
 
the first time I tried it I was 6 hours in and the game just froze, I was lucky that my second attempt was a success
 
All I can tell you is grab a cold beer, step away from the game, collect yourself, and try again if you want.

Sorry buddy.
 
The freezing and the corrupted saved game must be fixed in the coming patch or else :irked: :banghead:
