So, I had done 1 hour of the 9-hour Tsukuba enduro in the GT-R N24 Schulze, and I suspended it to go eat. I got back on, and the car is driving itself around the track! Wth? Is this a glitch? It's counting the laps normally but it's as if my B-Spec driver is driving instead of me. Any ideas?

Yea, it drives just like a lvl 30 Bob, but the back tires are wearing down, and I don't know if it'll pit, I don't want to restart the whole thing but wow, this is crazy haha

Did you try driving and messing with buttons to get it back to manual? Also a little off-topic but how did you get that car?

I bought it from the New Car Dealership, it's under Nissan. And I have full control of the cameras and start menu, but I can't drive or pit, and the back tires are shot. I'm gonna have to restart :(

Yea it had dropped me down to 6th place already, no point in continuing. If you guys have some time, though, try this. Get the GT-R N24 Schulze, suspend the Tsukuba 9-hr Enduro, and see if when you resume the race, it does that. I went into the pits at like 100mph and as soon as the menu came up, I suspended it. Maybe that's why it glitched?

EDIT: I think I figured it out. The car, when I quit, was going too fast, so as soon as the pit menu comes up, it breaks out of pit lane, since it's on the strip before the walls. The game freaks out and keeps it in pit mode, I guess you could say, and drives the car by itself? It makes more sense in my head :)

This just happened to me on 4 hours of Tsukuba ... or its happening right now for that matter. When I came back the car pitched sideways on the strait by the pits and slammed head first into the wall. then it proceeded to back up and drive back into the wall diving the pits and the track for like 2 mins. Once it got going again it caught up and im back to 7th place after being lapped 3 times (i over tuned my miata). I think Im about to have the tire problem too soon but I wonder if Ill still be able to maintain a lead since the car is so over powered?

Heres a Video of whats happening...

Happened to me too in the 9hr race. I was in the pit lane, about to go behind the pit wall when I saved, so perhaps still slightly faster than pit lane speed. Maybe that's why it glitched and jumped me out onto the track when I resumed?

i had tested this with 2 cars, the nissan and the HPA audi TT, they both went straigt to the pitwall like Fareo said.

i guess its a glitch that needs to be fixed...

I'm glad to see it's not just mine messing up. Small patch in the future to fix it maybe?

I got something similar in online while messing about a few months ago at Tsukuba. Was in a GT-R Spec V and then drove into the pits way to fast, crashed into the pit wall on on the pit straight (I think I pitted from the end of the last turn rather than use the pit lane entry) and crashed into the wall as I said. Then the AI took control but because the AI goes the qucikest way possible to the pit lane, it spent ages driving into the pit wall itself from the starting grid, slowly getting pushed towards the first turn due to the wall pushing the car away. Took ages for the car to get to the top of the pit wall, then it took over and drove to the pits.

This is more common than I thought then.
....and it just happened again. My 2nd try on the Tsukuba 9, I got 4hr17 in... and it glitched after I got back on. >:(((

Anyone thought of doing this with an X2010 and seeing if it is powerful enough to win with farked tires?

haha cheers Neo :) I'll try this in morning when BoB finishes his Sarthe 24hr race :sly:

Happened to me today too. Haven't got the time for completing it in one day, so today was the third day on the track.
Started wednesday and did a suspend with no problems at all until Thursday.
Drove a little that day too, and suspended it again, until this morning.
I started the Ps3, and it glitched.
I was 7hours in the race -.-
Now I've started it again, and want to try another thing later, when I'm taking my PS3 to a friend.
I'll try to wait with the suspend thing, until the car is completely stopped moving in the pit lane, and se if that helps

could it be useful if you a X1. then you don't have to drive it. I am gonna try it.

Perhaps is that the same discipline as in the case a B-spec bob fails to undergo a procedure of tyre switching for illegal entry at an excessive speed?(he just passes through the pit lane instead of a tire changing being proceeded for the car)

I assume in a technical matter it just fails to recognize that your choice of determining your next settings is suspended by an adrupt pause when inquired about what choice you desire to be ready for next several laps in a fresh condition, not letting you take back the control of the car(The AI still maintains for unwittingness it's already your turn to drive the car)
And then you're set in a state in which you can do nothing but observing your car being past by other comtenders for AI's decent, stick-to-the-regulations pace which is only a little bit faster than under the limitation of speed in the pit lane at the fastest...

Not actually having seen such a phenomenon in the game I can't offer you an exact solution in which what you're required to do to the problem. However it sounds interesting to have a try of it when I'm in a great lead against other rivals in the competition, kind of arouses my interest. ;)
