Before anybody cries about how this should be in the online racing forum, the online racing forum is for championships and race events. I'm talking about how people use this track online.

I can understand it being used in drift lobbies, but when you have a vote for a track, even with NASCARs, there will always be someone voting Tsukuba.

Why?

I don't know, but I find it stupid how in a Ferrari F1 lobby that someone votes Tsukuba. What's the point? It is just a short track with little use other than drifting, and it's not even an F1 track, yet people vote for it all the time.

I know you can choose not to let people vote, but I like doing this, but I am sick of everybody voting Tsukuba every 2 votes.

(Rant over)

great track for some crazy supergt races, but not for F1 cars. anything above supergt is Pure overkill.

It's a great track for all cars, and in real life that track is used as a benchmark by tuning companies across the world, mostly from japan though. I don't find it overrated at all, it's securely in my top three tracks. especially if my car can go sub-1min on sports softs, i feel like I accomplished a lot as far as tuning goes. just opinion though

Well, that's why your host. Change the track. Some people's idea of fun, is using high horsepowered cars in tight spaces. Personally, I think throughbreds should be allowed to run(Suzuka, Fuji, Monza, etc..)

Well yah , i think its too overrated .
Always when i looking for a drift looby i see Tsukuba everywhere , i get bored of it.
But thats only my opinion , i'm not trolling . :)

I don't drift at all but I enjoy racing on that track.

I don't play online though, I'd imagine it'd get old if people vote for any track too much.

Tsukuba is a standard - it's the track used by Best Motoring, the world's greatest car show. Everybody knows how fast street cars go around it and everybody knows how fast time attack cars go around it. The track doesn't look like much, but once you get out there you find out that it's very technical. It's so small that you have to get everything right in order to go fast.

It's my standard practice track and the main one I use to evaluate new cars and tunes. I think it's the most fun track in the whole game.

It's the easiest track to memorize so it's many peoples "best" track.

Right, its not tough to get every lap right there, its very simple and not very technical. Good for testing because you can duplicate laps pretty easily.

That said I hate it otherwise. Its flat, featureless, and just plain dull. Online races there suck because its just so boring. I like the track to be a feature of the race, not just background.

:sly: This just made me chuckle.

Yay opinions

Tsukuba is a great track for drifting and for racing of nearly any type of car. It does get wearing after a while in endurances and they probably should have given one to another track instead. However it is a really fun track.

I think people are lurred by its short length, me included, that enables to try out beating your time at each corner and/or trying different drifting approaches at a low time span.
On the downside it sure has bland scenery.

#2 on my favorites behind Leguna Seca. Not really for anything above Super GT though.

EH, not Tsukuba, That's not the one that's overrated.

Nurburgring, now that's different. It's not overrated, it's and excellent track, it's overused though. The track is great for testing s variety of corners and such as well as how fast it is. It's also a great track for just chilling and cruising.

But damn if I want to race on it every race. It's long and narrow and everyone gets all bunched together (TWSS). It's just used too much.

Tsukuba is great for low powered cars. On the other hand i'm pretty tired of everyone racing in nurburgring and la sharthe. Both awesome tracks, but some variation is nice to have

While I'm not voting- I don't do online- you need to know that Tsukuba is more than just a drifting track. Best Motoring use it as a track similar to how Top Gear use Dunsford Park- to compare cars. And it's the ground for BM Super Battle where cars/drivers are pitted against each other in a 5 lap race around the legendary Tsukuba. GT Channel on Youtube is great place to get your Best Motoring education: http://www.youtube.com/user/GTchannel

And here's the car leaderboard at Tsukuba: http://www.fastestlaps.com/tracks/tsukuba.html

I don't drift ,but do normally use low HP cars online .This track along with Eiger short are my favs.I probably wouldn't want to use supercars/racecars on it though.

-> I don't think its overrated, its just perfectly-sized racetrack for a great get together online. :)

its a track for people with no skill. they pick it so they dont forget were is the next turn plus its wider then the nurburgring.

I like Tsukuba, it's fun with low horsepower cars. Group C, NASCAR, and F1 cars are overkill, but Super GT is fun, as are road cars (It's loads of fun to take a race mod Impreza around it).

I think a lot of it depends on the car. A one make race of all stock ITRs with sports hard tires is a blast there IMO. I do agree that it seems overused online but I'd rather see that than a vote for Sarthe no chicanes every single time (we know how fast your X1 / Veyron is on a straight). I also enjoyed the miata enduro there, I do wish it wasn't 4 hours of it though because the scenery is very boring.

you sir are talking out of your backside, its a great little track and perfect for realy close racing with cars up to 500 bhp. No skill? I bet I would stuff you round that track every day of the week!

The best online races I've had are on this track. I know the track is very easy and that is what make it cool. All the players will fight hard to get 1st place and if you mess up you'll be overtaken easily, it's also good because it's easy to drive clean on that track.

I also love this track because no matter how much powerful your car is, it will do about the same lap times than slower cars.
