I was having a bash at this track a moment ago, and it seems very easy to drift around on.

I was using the RX-7 D1GP car.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to recommend newbies to run this track, or will this give you the wrong impression of drifting?

I think it would depend on the person, but it could easily give them a false sense of skill, like you mentioned.

I say start with dry tracks then move on to the wet ones. While it's easier to slide on the wet tracks, it's harder to control your car in general.

as mentioned by Swift, it may start you into some bad habits. In the wet, tires only have something like 60-65% of their total grip in dry conditions. This means that only 60-65% of the weight transfer that would normally be required to initiate slip in the dry is required in the wet.

Going back to a dry track after learning on a wet track in GT4 may make things more difficult for you than they really need to be.
Then again, if it works it works. Everyone reacts different to different things.

I think it's good for TOTAL newbies, that haven't drifted in their LIVES before, just to know the basics of the basics and the drifting styles, like feinting and getting to know to judge a entrance speed right for a corner, but you shouldn't go further than this or they WILL get a false sence of skill. Just for the ABSOLUTE NEW NEWBIES out there:tup:

I have a LOT of trouble in this game due to the wet road, braking takes too long, and end up on the dirt even though i brake...

Well, drifting in the rain might have its advantages. Like actually getting use to the power band by using it at its minimum. Because of the loss of grip and lot of acceleration is used as if the car's power is a bit more then expected but then again, I could be wrong. But it does depend on the user.

Drifting in the rain is ok for me...I don't do it much but its fun for a little activity and a challange sometimes...i usually put N3 tires on when i do so.

It all depends on the person and the way they like to drift shall it be E-brake or feint. U need the right setting go to here click this link and look for the setting that r for this track
