So, many of you know that in the ALMS there is a Class called LMPC, or LMP Challenge. It is designed to be an accessible, easy, and fair series for the beginner. First of all, I'd like to say that this series will be VERY casual. Also, it will be aimed at those who have their weekdays off, much like me.
The format will be about 10-20 laps on a single course, one or 2 races per week.
I do however, need help picking a car.
My initial thought was the Audi R10, as it is Open-top, and accessible by everyone. However, I found that the weight was more than the LMPC regs allow. Also, at 4.5 Million Credits, it is quite spendy for first-timers, and those who arent far into the game.
My 2nd choice was the Audi R8. Older, and available in 2 colours, it seemed like a good choice. And obviously, it has the pedigree. However, not everyone already has an R8, and it can't necessarily be gotten easily.
The Pescarolo was my 3rd choice. But, I am unsure on the weight and downforce differences between the 3 models. However, it is open-top, and currently at the OCD.
My 4th choice was the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP. It is in the New car dealer for everyone, and it comes in 2 colours. However, it isnt open-top, but it is a beautiful car, and modern, and a premium. Most people also have one of them.
My last choice was the Bentley Speed 8. It is currently a bargain at the UCD. However, it isnt open-top, and was only used for one year.
So, if you are interested please say so below. Also, share your thought on cars. (It WILL NOT be any sort of Group C car)
