This race is fun with skylines, I used a Nur and I got a 1.32 time, not too hard.

Spec II N1 (R34) '00
I'm running 1:28.262, currently 41st place. Pole is getting away from me on turns 4/5, almost like he's (she's) running RS through those two corners. Back to work!!!

The sad faced moment when you connect the first 2/3 of the Cape Ring TT, only when you get to much air at the jump and invalidate the lap...

Ahhh.. So thats why my laps were red/invalidated.. Cape Ring seems a pretty slippery track on racing hards.

This race is hard for me.. I just bought a Toyota GT '99 from the UCD, I keep slipping away and then spin around, and this car has really poor braking. Any tips how to make it brake good without going too early?

Hello GTPlanet members! Here's my setup for TT with Skylines. I did with this 2:06,1xx, so I think for a moment it'll be nice setup. But I think suspension can be done better. For a moment I was 2nd with this setup.

For gearbox setup do this thing:

1. set up all stock gears
2. reduce max. speed to minimum
3. set up gears from 1st to 6th just like in the photo, or with approximate value.
4. set up main gear

btw. some translations if someone don't know Polish :sly::

maska z kompozytu - carbon bonnet
redukcja masy szyb - glass/window weight reduction

I can share online my car, because now I'll try to do something with Skyline R34. Btw. I don't understand why Skyline GT-R Vspec Nur from premium dealership isn't allowed for this event.

Peace!

EDIT: I did some mistakes, so I'm sure there's possible 2:05,8xx or maybe better with this setup.

Search for a tune here.

They look like pretty cool TT's this time around... 👍

Yeah, especially trying to exit the hairpins. Need ice-skates :dunce:

Aww man.. I was so close to getting a gold, until that not the last corner, but the corner just before, I hit the grass and it made me spin and hit the wall..

I had a 1.14 at middle of stage aswell.
GT-One is definately a good car for this TT.

I was having this problem too. Try moving some ballast all the way to the front.

How can you see them???

This...has never happened before when I play a Time Trial Seasonal Event. I usually scrape around a Bronze or Silver trophy around 2 to 3 laps.

1:33.955 (Gold) using an R34 V-spec II Nür '02 (P) custom colored Active Red on lap 6. I'm starting to think that this Skyline Time Trial event is way too easy. (I used only Sports Intake Manifold, because I almost kicked myself getting an oil change when I bought the car, which I thought made it harder to enter the race, seeing that it's 480PP if I tried putting on modifications.)

I think this was a way of trying to cheer me up after having a heck of a BAD Halloween when I saw that this challenge was put online when I read it in my GTPlanet Google Reader RSS feed (I'm usually busy, so for me there's not enough hours in the day) last night, which cheered me up a little.

The gold times seem very generous on both these TTs. A clean lap was all that was needed in a Toyota Minolta and Audi R8 race car (just remember to brake before the jump). Likewise a '94 GT-R with just a few bolt-on parts, stock gearbox and suspension. I'm not going to be able to put in much time this week so it was nice to get the golds out of the way in half an hour.

Was going to concentrate on Cape Ring but since I see people are getting red times from the jump there, going to skip this one. Again, PD's very poor penalty system strikes again. They really need to revamp this system for GT6.

Had a pootle about in my old Pug 908... wheelpsin and lock ups, rusty... opened the taps up the hill, fast kink, under the PD loop bridge, Rocky's Flying High Now... DONK red lap.

...

Edit time

Old thread has been resurrected. Seems you get RED for the back end of the car landing heavily after the jump - Fix is to ballast the front up or add more rear aero (WHich my brain thinks would just make the car back flip...) Whatever the trick is either slow down... or balance the Ballistic profile of your chosen car

Yes, I got the gold then ran away from that mess.
Having quite a bit of fun with #1 though.

I see the R8 racecar is now the boss , im surprised my time from lastnight in my R89 is still 185th.

Thought id point out that if your using an R34 the 99 GTR is atleast 10kg lighter than the premium model i believe .
I didnt really give my best yet with my GTR and had a 1:28 with stage 1 engine and turbo .

EDIT
But now I see the heavy M spec is on top

PD must be losing their touch, the Skyline one was the easiest yet. In a bone stock M-Spec Nur I got silver on lap one and gold for lap two. The Pug 908 wasn't much harder at the ring.

Well... easy, enjoyable ride with the gtr. Simple gold and the track makes me feel its still the 20th century, and I am so many years younger...
I am really bad with LMP cars, even after LSD adjustments, even after Tc, even considering I'm using a sixaxis, I have little or no throttle control, so I won't give these one much of a try.

spent about 35 mins or more at Deep Forest and I must say my 2000 GT-R is no contest for my M-spec

300hp 513ft-lb 1420kg

Not shure if the M-spec is just wrongly tuned or if this non spec is just better.

In the skyline time trial, it's ok to oil change as you need to increase PP to reach the PP limit.

Yes, it is one of the easiest TT to gold in recent memories... Maybe to make up for the nerves after Halloween. I chose the first skyline on my premium list (Nur V spec) up the power, down the max speed. 1:30.xxx on second lap. A few laps later, still 1:30.xxx <sigh>.

Waiting for magic GTP tune or sudden enlightenment before I squeeze in time to play.
