I did a search within the tuning sub section of the forum and it didn't yield even 1 result....

this is one of Japan's top time attack beasts, has held various records all across japanese race tracks, are none of you tuners realizing the potential of this thing as a corner carving slinging out of turns type of monster, because that's exactly what it is.

This car is a beast, handles great as it is, I added bigger turbo, increased front downforce by 2, used racing slick tyres and it kicks ass online! All assists off apart from abs at 1

Requesting a setup guide for this awesome car! Compared to the Racecar GT-R (e.g. Calsonic) it has higher max speed, but worse steering due to less grip and downforce. Anyone who might help?

Not gonna say its amazing or anything, but i get around Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6:40'ish, with a few bumps in the wall & loads of small mistakes. ( In the hks evo. ) But if you think you cud learn anything from my setup/interrested in how it is, or learn me anything :P Then please add my psn: DRP_Skvakagud

i find myself using this car more and more in online races, the grip is insane with awd and super light weight i've won a lot of online races with it

The car handles fine with just Racing Softs. I would buy one for my own, but no headlights makes it hard racing at night :(

Yea, no headlights.. that's just awful.
Imo the grip is worse than the garage version of the Calsonic GT-R and the Tom's Supra, but the speed is better. Tuning might fix it, that's why I request. There's been a tuning guide for the Nascar-Nordschleife-Challenge from the Season-Events and even this car got very good grip thanks to the changed parameters.
I'm just gonna try out whether the change of different tuning options is good or bad for the car - but I don't have any basic idea.. need to stick to the guides around the forum and see what's been changed all the time in the same way.

@SkvakaGud: Thx buddy, but I already get times below 6:40 with the standard settings. It's only the matter of grip and downforce (by changing the right things @ tuning) that I ask for, so the car stays on the track like one of the cars named above.

Still looking forward to any suggested changes :dopey:

This car is a blast. I call it my giant killer. I love taking it out to run with the big boys. They hate it when I whip there ass with it.

All you need to change to get good grip with the Nascars is setting the downforce to max...

Someone asked me to tune this vehicle for the garage, so please take a look at my garage in a couple of days :)

Yeah I bought this car mainly for the description of it. I of course immediately took it to Toskuba or whatever that course is it ran 53 seconds on in RL. My 3rd lap around the track was 53.386 so it was spot on pretty much. Fun ride.

Hilarious thing is the first run online I did was on the track with the 3.8 mile straight, time change. I jumped on to fly and suddenly it goes dark lol. No headlights on the thing so I'm driving in pitch blackness following the edges of the course to try and stay on the road. I did not turn up my brightness. But man the car looks awesome at night with the interior cam. Best thing though was when someone got behind me in their F1 and turned on the brights and followed behind me so I could see lmao. Was great.

Fun car. I tried fiddling with the tuning but ended up messing up the car more then it was originally so I defaulted everything again.

I did that request. Of course I will check your thread, looking forward to it! Have to thank you already for this! :)

1) Which tires did you use to get that time?
2) Did you notice, most of the main gauges are not working in interior view?

I really like this car and was looking forward to driving it.
I was really surprised by the very extreme corner exit understeer when accelerating out of a turn. The car just wants to push very wide over the front wheels instead of rotating and coming around in the back a bit more.
I could really need a tune to get rid of that. Everything I tried did not help.
Maybe someone knows how to set up the LSD?

(I noticed the same extreme understeer when I tune the EvoIX in the game. Once you do the race mod to it its gone. But just upgrading the stock chassis its horrible. Not so any of the Impreza Sti's. They all come out of turns as you would expect and rotate nicely. I don't think tuned Evos have that problem IRL.)

increase the front downforce by 2 and lower rear downforce by 4, traction control at 2, this keeps balance of car and takes away corner exit understeer, hope this helps mate.

traction control on awd ? really ?
yeah I know its not something I tend to use on awd but it realy helped this car with understeer on power, don't use it on my evo 7 rm because that dosent seem to suffer from same problem

Thx for the tip but I don't think that car has traction control in real life so I don't want to use it. It has to turn without it in-game :).
I have the front downforce all the way up and rear almost all the way down on this car but on a track like Tsukuba where you take most turns at speeds well under 60mph downforce doesn't play a role at all except in the last turn maybe.

@ DIO_BRANDO Ah np bro :) But this what with mistakes = 10-15 secs off atleast if perfect :P ..

What is ur time on Nurburg? So far my record on Nordschleife in HKS Evo is 6:29,6. With room for improvement in both driving & setup. ( I was testing other stuff, so this was after a change & half a lap "test". So i was in no way used to it. But that just impressed me even more, that car rules ^^ )

I am no tuner and a pretty bad driver but I am really enjoying the setup I have so far. I am sure someone can make it better but it is fun to drive.

Aero 20/40

Trans 199 (adjust for track)

LSD 10/30
10/35
15/25

Torque Split 25/75

Ride Height -12/-12
Spring rate 10.4/12.5
Damper Ext. 9/6
Damper Com. 5/6
Roll Bars 3/6
Camber -3.5/-1.5
Toe -.25/-.15

Brakes 4/8

You brake late and start getting on the gas early to help pull it through the corner. once you have cleared the apex hammer down and it will hold.

edit-made some changes that made it much more balanced after trying it on some other tracks.

going to try this tonight mate, thanks for posting 👍

Just tried your tune mate, its a good one! I lowered rear downforce to 35 from 40 on your tune to give me a bit more front end grip, car is much improved over standard set up with your tune, good work mate

What i did was i bought Soft racing tyres for the front and racing medium for the rear. Then i set the diff to 10/90 and the downforce max on the front and lowest on the rear. I get nearly no understeer now. Sudden oversteer can happen and some fine tuning can help it, but i like my cars RWD, or handle like that so i like to have absolutely no understeer and some fun power on oversteer. Of cause this can be fine tuned to how you like it, but try to play around with the rear/front tyre combination, that is one of the best ways to reduce massive understeer.

I just bought this car today (two actually, one for me and one for a trade), and if I have time tomorrow morning, I'll try to tune it.

FYI - I'm either tuning it on Cape Ring (Full) or Fuji. I don't like tuning on Nurburgring too much because it takes forever to get the results from tests (unless I run it on GP). I like Cape Ring because it has pretty much every type of corner you can expect to see on any given track without having too long of a course to run through for lap times.

If I don't tune it tomorrow morning, expect it on Thursday as I go into work later that day and therefore usually have that as my off-morning to get on my PS3.

Also on my radar for tunes are -
Lexus IS F RM (almost done as it is, actually)
Viper ACR (also close to finished, just have some issues with the tires but I have a few ideas)
Nissan GT-R `09 Spec V - Will probably be last to complete

I'm considering taking the time to create a thread of my custom tunes complete with photos, etc. We'll see if I have time.

//Gotta love that Spring Semester doesn't start until mid-Feb! 👍

Yeah, I know and I try to stay away from that as it is more a solution for the game and not something that is done in real life.
I would like to get that car to work with real life adjustments. :)

Villain cant blame you, altho i think the green hell is too gorgeous a track, to not perfect that car on ;P

Anybody got any LSD tips / stuff they learned about LSD on this car others might coorperate into theyr setup ? :D

oh and notman, dosnt seem all to bad of a setup (: But i do nurburgring with 25-30 rear downforce, might be a pointer for whats needed, since ive noticed if u can get it down to 20-30, then it wont do THAT much drag. & also, if you think its understeering still & it wears out front tires faster than rear. Try increase rear toe angle & kill sum downforce :) That way it shud equal it out & turn better. ( my experience. )

This car is immense, beats any car around the same hp off the mark fact!! won so many online races with this car, I LOVE IT... but yeah the understeer is a lil problem that needs tweaking!!
