Just wondering really what we all mostly have?

Both me and my mate play this game but we both play it in a different style, by that I mean he plays a lot on line where as I don't, he is younger than me and no family Where as I play gt5 with the family so in stead of on line races we do family time trails

But most of his cars are highly tuned were as mine are mostly stock

What about you guys/Girls?

sports package

-Weight stage 2
-Engine Stage 2
-Sport ECU
-Sports Intake Manifold
-Sports Air filter
-Sports Exhaust
-Sports Exhaust Manifold
-Catalytic Converter: Sports
-Fully custom Transmission( set to top speed reached on track)
-Single Plate Clutch
-Sports Flywheel
-Carbon Propeller Shaft
-LSD ( important if you understand how to set it to tracks & help fight under/over steer.
-Fixed Sport Suspension
- Sport med/soft tires

I prefer to keep my cars stock as much as possible. I almost always install some RS tires and do an oil change though. If I really have to tune one of my cars in order to win a specific race, I then start by the weight reduction, and then the ECU.

Mostly stock other than tire & suspension upgrades. If I really like a car I will own 2 so I can tune one. Never do any of the upgrades that can't be removed though.

I like the fact that all the cars have their own feel to them, and tuning the living hell out of them just makes them all feel the same.

I usually bump max power out of the majority of my cars, but don't bother with tires and tranny/susp upgrade unless I know I'm going to race them. Considering it costs roughly 100k per car for those upgrades, I've probably saved 5mil credits so far in my small garage.

Most of the cars I DO fully mod are the ones I drag race online or use for specific class-event races.

For majory of the cars I have, I usually put custom suspension (get it lowest and a bit stiffer) and sometimes carbon driveshaft and/or racing catalyc converter. However, I never put racing tranny on (or for that matter, neither I pick close gear ones) - I simply hate the scream of the straight cut gears (like someone else pointed out to me explaining what does the scream come from). If I need more speed I firstly reduce weight - for me lighter car is better than more powerful, heavier one. Then intake/exhaust mods take place. In the end I upgrade the engine but if I need more power, lastly I'd chose forced induction (though it depends on the car). Obviously Racing Hards min. on every car :D

All my favourite cars are fully tuned and set-up for the Nordschleife - the cars I don't care about (~790) are plain stock.

Actually all of my cars are heavily tuned...I think what you meant was modified?

depends on the car really. Most of mine are pretty highly modded, but some suffer from over modding, so I will stay away from adding too much power.

I have doubles of some that I really like so I can have a stock and a high power modded one. Mac F1 is an example, I love the car stock, but it's a monster when fully modded. Fun both ways.

General rule of thumb: higher performance cars I don't mess with too much, lower level cars I will mod the hell out of them.

I don't do a any online racing except private races with friends, so I just have fun.

i usually only mod a car if i have a stock double lying around as well.. so one modded one stock.. and i wont touch Ferraris or Lamborghinis and such.. i only mod cars below 150k.. i do need to get my hands on another F430 Scud and RX7 tho cuz i modded the crap out of those two for the seasonals (and then sold the modded Ferrari.. i dont like muddled perfection)

I usually add things to it as long as they can be removed. So no engine upgrades or weight reductions but I will add tyres and Turbo's and Ecu chips.

250+ tuned cars. I don't care how they perform stock. I want them better than stock, no matter how good stock is.

Better than stock isn't always possible, depending on the car. Some of the Ferrari's have a better cluch than the double plate.

Anyone know which vehicles have batter than tuned parts? (New thread)

I like to mod and tune most of the cars I use for better performance, but I agree with Jeffkill that it takes some of the unique feel away.

I generally have 2 or 3 of every car. Usually Ill make a Modded Racibg Version, Daily Driver Tune, and stock.

Modded Racing Version:
-Everything Stage 1

Daily Driver:
-Chassis Reinforcement
-Carbon hood
-ECU (only if needed)
-Sport Air Filter
-Sport Exhaust
-Low RPM Turbo (Only if needed)
-Stock Tranny
-Sport Flywheel
-Height Adjustable Sport Suspension
-Sports hard tires
*These are generally STI's, Evo's, Civics, RX7's, Skylines, or Z's.

Stock is obviously stock.

Mostly stock other than a few with tire / suspension / transmission upgrades. Nothing that cannot be removed

Mostly stock only because I haven't gotten to them yet. I plan on modding and tuning them all. My car collection only consists of Race cars, Prize cars and cars that I really like in real life. I have no real desire to collect all cars and out of the 280 that I own now, I've only driven about 50 and tuned about 20.

Great idea for a poll. I was curious about what other people have also.

I personally collect standards from the UCD because I like taking cars to the track the way they left the factory. I actually just started picking up duplicates of favorite make/models so I can have one stock / one slightly street tuned.

My standard package:

Stage 1 Weight Reduction
Chassis Reinforcement
Stage 1 Engine Tune
ECU Tuning
Sports Intake Manifold
Racing Air Filter
Sports Exhaust Manifold
Sports Catalytic Converter
Titanium Racing Exhaust
Low RPM Turbo Kit
Fully Customizable Transmission
Single Plate Clutch
Sports Flywheel
Carbon Drive Shaft
Adjustable Center Differential
Adjustable LSD
Fully Customizable Suspension
Sports Hard + Sports Soft + Racing Hard + Racing Soft Tires

I use this on about 95% of the cars I actually drive.

To me it really depends on the car. Most race cars I leave alone or any car that came from a tuner (eg amuse S2K). I do like to mod a lot of the stock cars though, some more than others. Of course if I'm putting bob in it, it is maxed out haha.

Depends on a car. i often drive the car as stock first to get a feeling for it. If i am left wanting for something i might tune it a little or leave it as is. For example if the car feels very stable but bit out of breath on uphill sections or long straight i might up the power a little. Usually i tune very lightly though.

I don't tune race cars or tuner cars. Race cars are made to comply their series regulations and tuner cars are usually made to manifest the tuning ideology of the tuning shop (as well as showcase their parts catalogue).
