yo all,

I am new to this site and im not sure if this has been posted before, I recently bought GT3 again for my ps2, the last time i played this game was back in 2004, and didnt take much notice then, but i am playing the game properly now, and I have a question.

I bought a 3000GT VR4 Turbo, and tuned it up to about 900 horsepower or something there about, but it wont go faster than 230kmh, yet it gets there in seconds, there must be a way to make the thing go faster than that - its the same with all the cars that I have tuned up, Including the Escudo Pikes peak Version which is a mere 1726bhp lol, wat am I doing wrong - is it something to do with gear ratios or what?, the car just bottoms out at the end of gear 6, also same with the Viper, Skyline, -- basically every car.

I remember the old Gran Turismo's ( 1 & 2 ) that let the thing go a lot faster than 230kmgh

HELP!!!

Yo to you too. :O

Have you tried installing a full-custom transmission? And raising the final drive and/or Auto settings so you create a higher top-speed? I'm guessing therein lies the problem.
-peace out.

You probably mean 230 mph. Where are you testing? The high speed test oval?

Fiddle around with the transmission to get longer ratios (the smaller the number, the longer the gear).

The Escudo is simple... rear maximum soft dampers and springs. Front maximum hard. Rear, minimum ride height, front, maximum. Rear wing, highest setting, front wing, zero. Should be good for... oh... about 1000-1500 mph. :D

In answer to Parnelli Bone, i have installed all the available upgrades, Full Customization Transmission, Racing Flywheel, LSD Full Customization, Triple Clutch, NA / Turbo Tuning Stage 4, the works. I do actually mean 230 kmh, remember this is Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec im talking about, not Gran Tursimo 4, which is in mph. I am going to try what niky said, and fiddle around a little, I always thought that GT3 automatically set up your cars to the best setup when you upgrade them - seems i was wrong, and as a final question -

ASM - On or off?
TCS - On or off?

No, you gotta set them yourself.

As far as ASM and TCS go, I would try not to use either one, but this is a personal choice you gotta make for yourself.
