I was looking for rear end pictures of the 2003 S2000 and came across this.

I thought it was kind of interesting.

Awsome styling cues and badass rims. A pity they had to paint it such an abominable color. Any info on the performance mods?

If I owned a Z3 I'd be pissed that the Z4 looks so much better.

Are you sure someone didn't put drugs in your coffee this morning? The Z4 is the 2nd most hideous vehicle on the roads today, right behind the Pontiac Aztek.

The fact they went for a bi-tone color scheme while trying to make it look like a 50's Corvette only amplifies the ugliness of it.

Well that one's colors are hideous. But a nice dark gray one is very sharp. There's some show on Speed channel where they test out cars, it's called Test Drive maybe, I can't remember. Anyway, they tested a Z4 on the track and up and down HW 1 north of San Francisco. It affected me. The look grew on me.

So there is someone else in the world who doesn't like the Z4 that much! I thought I was the only one. I don't hate it, but I actually like the Z3 better by a good margin.

Not bad, overall, but too fussy, like all of Bangle's work. A little too precious and overdesigned. He's like a frustrated architect who can't resist the temptation to put all 200 of his favorite ideas into his own house. He's obviously in love with his own work and it comes through very clearly in his cars.

I don't see how the Z4 is an improvement over the Z3. At least it's not actively worse, like all the recent BMWs.

I didn't like the Z3 so much either, mind you. It looked a bit out of proportion, but it was indeed much better looking than the Z4.

Indeed. It's to the point where you wonder how in the blue hell did BMW execs accepted his designs for the 7 Series and the Z4. (the 5 series isn't all that bad. It's like they toned it down a little.) There's just too much going on with it, design wise. You have vertical lines, horizontal ones, diagonal ones, it's just a mess.

I actually really like the Z4. I didn't really like it that much at first, but it's grown on me since it came out. I'd still never buy one, because I'm not a big fan of convertibles, but the Z4 is one of the only ones I really like.

That orange one in the first post is pretty ugly though. If it was all silver, gunmetal, or even black without that yellow part on the side it would look a lot better. I don't even mind the ornage. It's just the two tone with yellow that I don't like.

If I say "nice rims" I haven't offended anyone right ?...

Anyway - The Z3 (Did it come with an engine or was that just a rumour), nor the Z4 has never done anything for me. (liked the Z3 the best which doesn't say much)

Now the Z8 on the other hand !.....

I like Bangle.. He does a good job. I also have stocks in Audi

Not a bad way of putting Bangle into perspective, actually.

Have you seen one in person? They look better, especially as time passes and you take in all the details.

And the Z4 is actually a tremendous improvement on the Z3 where it counts: behind the wheel. It is sooo much more composed, pinned down and useable. The Z3 had a lot of 'quirks' in its handling you had to drive around. I actually think the Z4 3.0 is a better overall car than the old M Roadster.

The Z4 looks infintly better when you see one for real. The Z3 I don't like that much; the M roadster isn't bad though

I think that's an abomination. I quite like the Z4 (the only one of Bangle's designs so far), but that kit just ruins it. Can anyone else smell a pudding being over-egged.

Anyone who thinks that the rear of the stock Z4 is fussy should check out this Schnitzer version. I mean, roof spoiler and deck spoiler?

To quote Clarkson, it looks like it's crashed into a Halfords shop window, and bits have sort of stuck to it.

I say again, abomination.

Didn't Clarkson say that about the Lancer Evo VI? I think it was in the Evo VI vs Impreza 22B video that he mentioned it...oh well.

He did, yes. But the sentiment applies to the abomination in the first post.
