Hey everyone! I just wanted to share all of our preferences regarding the type of cars, or the type of mods we all do to our rides.

Its very common to read "my 400hp civic" or "my Corvette is fully stock" or maybe "It looks rice" or how about "JDM rules."

In my case, I love all cars no matter what country, engine type, if its a cheap everyday ride or a multy-million dollar exotic.

Although I have a tendency of choosing either powerful American sportscars like the Viper(my dream car) ,the Corvette, or any european sportscars, specially German cars. Anything with a big engine, rear wheel drive and 350+ HP is good for me.

Now, regarding tunning, I´m proud to say I like my cars as stock as possible to keep the original feel of the car. But its nice to do a few tweeks like reducing the weight a little bit, putting a performance chip, maybe a sports air filter, a high flow catalitic converter, and depending on the car I can go from stock street tyres all the way to sports soft.

About the assists, well everything off works for me, except the ABS in which I turn it off only if I know that that car does not have ABS on real life. And last but not least, transmission always manual.

So thats about it. In my garage you will see a couple of Vipers, Corvettes, Fords, alot of BMW´s(my favorite brand), a few Mercedes, Audis, a couple of Lambos and only one Ferrari.

So what´s your choice? You prefer JDM´s, only exotics, muscle cars?
Do you like the feel of the original car, or go nuts with huge turbos on small engines?

Cheers everyone:)

I'm all about max performance, but I like to mix up the cars I own. A little bit of everything ranging from 255 hp to 979 hp.

I will only use sports soft tires, at least for now.

I do have a special place in my heart for Japanese cars, but I'm a lover of all cars. (Not electric or hybrid).

I'm a stickler for anything light-weight, and rear-wheel drive. Doesn't need a lot of power to be fun - I even enjoy the Autozam AZ-1 and my MX-5!

I like driving cars as the designers intended and trying to set the best lap times with stock setups, but I also like to try and eek every extra 100th of a second by finding the perfect tuning setup, with the cars I really like I'll usually buy two, one I'll leave stock and one I'll tune the nuts off.

Super cars do it for me, or exotics as you crazy people call them....

Love GT cars too, I'm a big follower of the GT1/Super GT series, it's sad that there aren't more of the recent GT1 cars in the game, where's the Vitaphone MC12, the GT1 Saleeen S7 and the Aston DBR9? :( In fact the GT1 Lambo and GTR from the '10 season should be in the game too. Gutted there are no Askari's either.

Yeah, Hybrids and electrics are not ment to be raced. But who knows? Tonight I´m going to purchase the Tesla to see if electrics are really useless.

I like Corvettes. :)

Still working on collecting all of them. None of the C2s have shown up in the used car lot yet, but I did pick up a new C6 this morning that I will race mod tonight. I tend to stay away from the flashier exotics except when I need one for an event.

As far as tuning, I like to keep things looking stock on the outside while making as many upgrades as possible "under the hood".

I'm a purist for the most part.

It just seems to blend everythign together when you got 100 cars all of which are 1000hp. To me, its like "what is the point?". I like to have a variety of speeds and P/W ratio's to work with.

Especially for online racing. Someone with only 600hp cars is a bore, as you can't race anything that isn't in the higher tier league, which severly limits the fun factor (for me).

I will Tune some very high, others just alittle, but for the most part I like to have lots of stock cars.

👍👍

I wouldn't call myself a purist but I do think running slick tires is cheating.

Then what's this? :P

Well... except that.
I ment a Prius or an Insight... And correcting myself, I think that any car deserves to be raced. Although I can´t help to think that they feel like if you were driving something like this:

with a stereo system and A/C.

Heh, not to derail your thread but I think your original statement was correct. Auto racing is about the internal combustion engine. You can wrap a Porsche around a hybrid or electric motor but it doesn't make it cool.

Well, usually I love all of them too.

Some I tune to the max, and some just a bit. usually my Bimmers (fav. cars) are only tuned up a bit. (ex. 410hp CSL, etc). Ferraris for example, I do the same (458 @ 615hp, just a bit improved). And some I just keep stock if I have 2 of them (ex. bimmers from my collection, etc...)

And there's the most violent cases... Skylines, Supras, etc were born to be tuned... I can't stand a Skyline with less than 400hp... :)

I love any car, but my true passion lies in cars that "stand out from the rest" styling-wise. Such as the CR-Z, the 458 Italia, and many others. They don't follow the copy and paste styling that a lot of other manufacturers use. As for tuning wise, I am a purist. I love cars in their natural state.

If its japanese i tune it up, if its an italian supercar or a legendary machine i will keep it standard, or atleast only buy reversable upgrades. My Mclaren F1 is still completely stock, as are most of my Ferrari's and Lamborghini's.

I like to keep my cars stock, or with minimal realistic tuning if possible, but sometimes it's necessary to go slightly over the top. For the Historic cup I had to upgrade my 1966 Jaguar XJ13 with the highest turbo option. Completely killed the sound of the engine, but once I finished the cup I took it off again.

A Porsche.

LOL, Almost fell out of my office chair 👍

I'm a fan of giving suspension upgrades and minor tune ups....very minor.
400hp+ civics, 900hp mini's....gets old after the magic/money wear off.

Personally, I enjoy a whole lot of cars. Granted, I do have a slight preference for Japanese cars and European ones over American cars, but it's not like I wouldn't enjoy them. I'm just more likely to buy the JDM/Eurocars I like first.
In that regard, I think it's JDM > Euro > USDM for me, the differences are pretty small, though.
That said, I usually prefer mid-range cars like the M3 or the C63, I'm not much of a super car guy. I haven't even touched a Lamborghini or Ferrari so far.

In terms of performance, it depends on the car. Some, like my Delta HF, get slightly tuned or left stock so i can experience their charakter properly.
And then there's cars like the High End Performance G37 or the R34 that beg to be modded to hell and back again. I'll even run those with soft racing tyres, just for the utter ridiculousness of a G37 putting down faster lap times around the Nordschleife than a Radical SR8 LM 👍

The point is to modify them downwards when needed... No?
