I'm really grateful for the hard work and time you tuners put in with your tunes and garages. I would always would run stock or cars w/ minimal mods to just beat the AI for years in the GT series. Just never felt like the need to overmod a car to beat the AI.

Finally started online in Jan this year and between the much faster competition and differing physics, I was lost. I finally saw the need for a tuned car! Started with FF's and AWD's w/ RSofts, then got tired of the pub lobby hassles and joined some series that have only clean racers. Now all of my competitive driving is w/friends online or in WRS events. I enjoy running the seasonals but try to keep with a stock or close vehicle to try and keep things close.

I guess I'm just curious why tuners tune for offline use. The WRS events and some of the Seasonal Time Trials have certainly demanded event specific tunes and of course the tuning competitions. Are the offline tunes made because of the online physics variables? Is it for getting the fastest lap times in Practice or Arcade modes?

Thanks again for the great work you tuners do.

Partly its for doing things you mentioned, you can also put in doing the regular seasonal events in a wider variety of cars, especially for the less skilled drivers.
Also gives more options for B-Spec and A-Spec.
Finally not everyone has the capability to race online, but they still enjoy driving a wide variety of cars at or near their maximum potential so they can check out tunes here that weren't optimized for online use.

I started off tuning offline because in the beginning public lobbies online were nothing but a mess and I saw very little point in tuning online.

Now, if I'm tuning offline it's to build a car to mess with. If I'm tuning online, it will always be done for race conditions.
