The NASCAR's have stupid amounts of grip with max downforce on racing softs... almost impossible to lose traction in them.

Just remember to switch off ABS for the Daytone event as this disable the ASM... with ASM on you'll never be competitive at Daytona.

Here is how I did it on racing soft tyres.
I held back bumping the second place car, then on the final lap in T4 I went around the outside.

👍

Bump drafting the lead car for the last few laps and then pulling out of the slip on the run to the line is the way to do this one.

Didn't realise that. Like a div, I thought I was stuck with ASM on. It took me a fair few attempts to get gold with the ASM on but it can be done - never say never! I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone though. You will swear. A lot.

I beat this last night by staying in front all of the 10 laps. The technique that I used was to ensure the AI was hitting me square in the rear right before the entrance to the corners. To achieve this I would stay to the inside on the corners and continue to stay to the inside through half of the straights (do not let them draft the entire length of the straight.) This will allow for the AI to draft and give you a nice bump and keep your lead. It was noted in another thread that the AI will not draft you when you take a far inside line. Constantly check your rear view on the straights to watch for the car that is giving you a bump draft, they will catch up fast in your draft. Make sure he is lined up straight. This helps you avoid drafting the entire AI field, which is when they will knock you out of the race. I lead each lap by .1 to .2, which is a lot considering the difficulty of the AI when leading laps.

There is no need to tune or setup anything in NASCAR races. Just turn off driving aids.

I choose NASCAR events, start the race and win it...nothing special, but find out when overtaking at the right moment.
