I'd like to have a tuning assistant with a menu/questionnaire helping me to find the right settings, e.g. "bumpy or even road?", "correct oversteer on corner entry?". With each answer, the settings of my car would be modified accordingly...

Sounds strange, but would be very helpful to tuning noobs...

If you know what oversteer is, or you know what a bumpy road does to the handling of your car, then I figure you'll already know what parameter of your car you need to modify. O.o The text-based guides in the game also help to bridge that knowledge gap.

That's just the problem - a lot of people don't. They just want to get on and drive.
They may just want to make their car generally "go better" without having a degree in automobile engineering. Letting the tuners adjust the settings to that fine degree to get that last bit of performance out of the car.

The text-based guides in the game also help to bridge that knowledge gap.
True enough - and they are a good read. But it's not to much of a jump from that text to OMNIUSSE's menu/questionnaire idea.

The text based guides are not right for every case... In fact they are only for the most common cases right (talking about suspension)...

For example it says that a soft setup at the front and a hard setup at the tail will increase oversteer... But what about a very flat track? The hard tail would stay stable while the soft front would have much roll which causes UNDERsteer, at least as far I know.

I am not a tuning guru either, but I think better and more specific descriptions would be nice...
