Thanks for the pics JNasty, very helpful. NZ never got any of these which is a pity. Your car is pretty damn nice. How much stuff have you done to it to get 11s out of it?
Thanks man. I'm working on rounding up some pics. I'll make a post one of these days showing the differences between models and years.
I have a lot in the Talon. Too much to list, but the major ingredients are........
Wiseco pistons & Eagle Rods (in a 6bolt block)
PTE - SCM61 turbo (ported, .56 trim, T350 turbine, 24psi)
Tial BOV and Wastegate (both vent to atm.)
CAS FMIC (custom short path piping)
AEM EMS (set up for MAS, 2step, and more...)
MSD DIS 2 (10mm wires, NGK plugs)
ACT 2600 clutch (in a Shep built trans)
The list can go on for a while. Basically, I bought the car new in '97, drove it for a while stock-ish. It got the crankwalk, like most do, and died. So, thats when the fun started. Now, its basically fully built for street use. Has a cage, but its not much, easy to get around. Fun car. Even though its AWD, I don't drive it much in the winter. Even with snow tires and AWD, over 500whp can get you in some situations you don't want to be in. So, most of the winter here, my Rubi gets driven and the Talon sits toasty in the garage. I actually drove it today, wasn't bad out, just cold. Fun car. The DSMs with turbo can be very fast. The 4G63 engine in them, same basic engine as the Evo has, is a very good piece. Very strong and mostly reliable. Here are a few more pics of it. In a few days, I'll have that other post up and you can see what ALL the DSM models look like.
