Tuning for drag racing?

I'm curious to as how these guys create a basic "drag tune". I rarely drag race myself (I'm a hot lapper ), but the once-in-awhile that I do, I ether end up jumping or my "suped up" car isn't fast enough.

I'm not asking for a perfect tune, just a base to start off with - ie: Diff. setting, suspension setting, etc. for RWD and AWD cars.
