tuning for pull on a 1/4 mile drag race...

ok so i was racing with my nuvolari quattro 03 online and i come across a person who beats me by 3 cars.. i asked him about his tune and he said that he tuned for the better pull. In the biggenning of the race, we start off at the same pace but then he pulls ahead of me atleast 3-4 cars... HOW? anyone know about how this could be achieved?

First question is do you have a actual Drag setup on your car?
If so probably a Hack.
