I read quickly through Scaff's tuning guide, but could only keep up with 30% because I have no clue about tuning/car mechanics and English is not my first language so a lot of the sentences were hard for me :scared:

I am basically after two things. I tried all last night but with no success.
I don't have a lot of playing time with 2 kids and a wife, so I can't spend many hours learning how to tune. I just want to drive those beauties :)

My first question: when I buy a car I usually buy the same upgrades: Flywheel, Double-Clutch, Soft Sports tires, Titanium Exhaust and then the Height-Adjustable suspension(4,500). I have taken the stance since I don't have a clue don't spent 15-20k on the fully adjustable suspension. Then I go to suspension settings and change the damper to 3/3 F/R. Maybe add a little camber max 1.0 and that is it. Since I usually add +1 to the dampers, should the Springs also be upped? All I want is a little "generic default tweak". When I watch Top Gear, Jeremy usually flicks a switch and says "Stiffen the suspension, traction control off, etc...". Is there some newbie save setting that any of you can suggest for suspensions or am I on a hopeless track?

The second question I had is for cars like the Shelby's Cobra/GT350R that are extremely loose at the rear, where do you fix that else than with throttle control? Does a LSD help here, or is it again the suspension that you need to take care of?

I know these are pretty general questions but like I said I'm not at all looking for "the best settings" - just couple of little minor tweaks that could help my average driving out :)

Thank you for your time and hopefully replies 👍

The only generic default tweak is aero set to the max (it's not very fine tuning but it'll do), weigth reductions and best tires you can afford.

All other setting really depends of the car you're driving...

-edit- btw that'll be $3000 for me, my guru name is Skippy the great guru :D
Or two praises for Skippy but I still prefer $. You praise like this : "$kippy... $kippy..."

(it's a french joke from the 90's :D)

When you pump HP and such into a stock car you immediately increase the power into the rear wheels in the FR cars. Generally FR's are the ones with massive fishtailing going on. To counter try throwing about 2.5-3.0 negative camber into the back side and increasing your suspension. As well as buying the adjustable LSD, setting the limit low and the acceleration sensativity low. It helps limit the amount of power capable of going to the rear wheels. Then add some toe-in to the front tires to compensate for the generated understeer of losing power to the back tires. This seems to work for me anyway. I like being able to gun it strong out of a turn and keep my tires on the track.
