Ok, first, buy all the upgrades you can get and take your horsepower all the way to the max. (turbo kits, brakes, n/a tuning...) Tuning as follows:

Part name :: Front setting /// back setting

Spring Rate :: 20.0 /// 19.0
Ride Height :: 89 /// 89
Shock Bound :: 7 /// 7
Shock Rebound :: 7 /// 7
Camber Angle :: 2.5 /// 1.3
Toe Angle :: -0.5 /// 0.5
Stabilizers :: 3 /// 2

Brake Balance :: 24 /// 24

Limited-slip Initial Torque :: 5 /// 0
Limited-slip Accel. :: 40 /// 0
Limited-clip Decel. :: 20 /// 0

Gear 1 : 2.737
Gear 2 : 1.924
Gear 3 : 1.441
Gear 4 : 1.129
Gear 5 : 0.924
Gear 6 : 0.791
Gear 7 : - - - -
Final : 4.000
Auto Setting : 24

Active Stability Management : 10
TCS Controller : 5

Max Speed : 146.1 MPH
0M-400M : 0' 13.862
0M-1000M : 0' 24.528

Now, those speeds may not look impressive, but compare it with the other Vitzes/Yarises that you race, you'll leave them eating your dust!

What tires are you running?

I tried with T2's on the front and T4's on the back and could barely stay in front of the AI.

Tried it with ASM off, thinking that would help. No dice.
WAAAAYYYY too much understeer for my driving style.

I never understood why people do that, either. All it seems to do for me is make the cars' inherent tendencies worse.
