Turbo Pad Cheats

One thing I realy dont like is that everyone seems to be using Turbo Pads on PS3 to manipulate the onlione play of the game. Doing this throws the server out of Sync and in turn throws anyone else out or those with the turbo pad are able to make themselves die, move at warp speed without a vehicle and dissapear into the ground so as not to get shot up. You punks who do this need to lay off and play properly because you are all cheating.

The use of the Turbo Pad enables you to shoot more rapidly and make yourself appear on the other side of the map and makes sure that all bullets and rockets go right through you. Why does no one talk about this type of cheating going on here. Is is that no one is bothered and just dont care or everyone is a damn cheat.....!!

Everything you said does not relate to using a turbo pad on GTA IV. No matter how fast you can pull the trigger on GTA IV the gun is limited to its own speed, the speed at which it shoots holding the trigger. Im pretty sure the pad doesnt throw a server out of sync, that should be a NAT Conflict between two players. You cant make yourself die just by using a pad, you cant go warp speed using a pad, you cant disappear using only the pad. You cant go to the otherside using the pad, you cant get bullets and rockets to go right through you.

Ill explain what I believe is the cause for those things:

Warp Speed - Hack (if it even happens) or lag

Underground - Chopper glitch, dive it into the ground at several places and you will go under the 'map' and therefore be almost impossible to kill from above the map.

Shoot rapidly - Hack (if it even happens) or Lag

Appear on other side of map - Has been known to be lag or it could be a hack.

Bullets and Rockets right through you - I am thinking this is most certainly lag.


You seem to forget that the internet is a great opportunity for hackers, they can annoy people or have fun. No one complains because there is nothing we can do about it, the developers have to patch it and if they dont the hack stays and thats that. Not many people use turbo pads in games like GTA anyway, not really many Modern Warfare 2 either. Turbo pads speed the pressing of a button to several times per second, you set the button and when you want it tapped very fast you hold it down and the controller tells the game it is pressing the button very fast. GTA IV has a set gun speed as I said before so a turbo pad is pretty much useless in GTA IV.

A very common reason for people to appear to be hacking is lagging, if your connection isnt good it wont relay your movements to the other people as quickly, this can result in small teleports (about 5m or so) to magic bullets (being killed straight away without seeing multiple bullets, only one).

One last thing, why did you post it like we were the ones using them? You told the punks to lay off when none of those punks will read it here at gtp???

Are you high? I don't think I've seen anybody using a turbo controller, especially on the PS3 version. It's just lag or that someone is tapping the trigger pretty damn quickly. I know even I can tap it pretty quickly, I can see others tapping it much faster than me.

I can also tap quickly but thats not the point, the point is that that doesnt work on GTA IV with pistols which is what the turbo pad is designed for. They are limited to a certain speed but on games like MW2 they are not but noone uses it on that game either so that doesnt matter.

Well if you go to YouTube and type in "how to use thurbo pad in GTAIV" it will show how it is used and how to make your pad turbo.

Whats said about the Lag and Hacks, is true also but the Turbo function that people have use to great effect.

Maybe I'm talking a load of bull but if these things are reported and they are in other forums (not gtplanet) then a patch should be made for these goings on.

The Frag FX controller is not something everyone will be using, a very small minority would be bothered to buy that. I dont suppose you play much GTA? Most weapons, as the guy himself says in that quote, dont allow for the Turbo to work because it is almost useless. Seriously mate, this turbo pad thing you have going on here is the least of anyone problems in GTA IV.

I can kill people fine all the time, its more annoying when people fly under the map and surface in buildings than not being able to kill a hacker. If I die I guess it is just laggy or I wasnt shooting the target, I just dont see why you would bring this up when it is such a small problem. Unless of course, every person you see must be shooting too fast so they must be hackers.

I'll say this again: I've never seen anyone using a turbo controller to my knowledge. Some people are simply just very good at the game and can control gunfire very well. So you're saying there should be a patch against people who can tap buttons very fast?

So far there have been no reported hacks, but there's a factor called lag, something we can't stop and it also doesn't even happen very often.

And so what if somebody uses a turbo pad? It's just a game... you don't get any rewards for killing someone now do you?
