Now that's strange, I just checked the homepage and it now says it's a limited edition and only 10000 in total will be sold?!

Furthermore I just went briefly through the paperwork of the company "Endor AG", which owns the brand "Fanatec", for 2008, and things aren't sounding that bright.

The whole company consists of 5 full-time and 1 part time staff, which could explain the sluggish response to customer eMails.

"A faster growth of sales was prohibited by the lack of acquiring fresh capital." They state that they had a deal with a 3rd party, but due to the financial crisis no money was received and they relied for 2008 on their supplier. By October 2009, the board of directors believes the company will remain in business despite the financial situation, and that the negative equity is covered by the value of know-how, licences, etc.

Hate to say it, but that doesn't sound encouraging at all.

Ok now we know the real reason for slow service. Damn this sucks. I hope they can fix my wheel in aboit two weeks which is considered a reasonable repair time in Finland. Over two weeks, customer should get other product at least for the durration of repairs.

Good luck with that! I have been in the same position and not had a response for nearly 4 weeks now. In the end I put the belt back on myself - not too hard to do if/when you manage to open the casing which is the hardest part....

As far as being limited to 10000 goes, it has always said that.

2000 Clubsport Editions
3000 Regular Editions
5000 Pure Editions

My Turbo S and standard pedals work perfectly. The only (very) minor gripe is that there isn't much of a positive click when locking into 6th gear but there is a click when coming out of it. 6th works just fine otherwise.

LIkewise no problems with my Turbo S, clubsport pedals, shifter adapter and Rennesport wheelstand (ordered 26.9.09 and delivered 9.12.09)

Thing is that i will loose the warranty if i do that. At least fanatec should give the instructions. After 4 weeks, you can say that there was not a warranty in the first place and opening the wheel is the only real option. Also my belt can even be broken not loose. Well i will seek out some EU and Germany legislation if i have to wait 4 weeks. So fanatec, if you do not have resources to repair wheels, you should at least say it and give info how to do it. I am a bachelor of science in electrical engineering so i think i can manage it. It's fanatec's choice if they want things done the easy way or the hard way.

The thing is, there is no warrenty/tamper label anywhere, or any way of them knowing that the wheel has been opened, apart from the red "glue" they use on some of the internal screws if you undo any of those - which I assume would be easy to replace if necessary.

There are 2 belts inside the wheel and it is very likely that the one nearest the top has spimply come off the motor, as there is no guard of any kind keeping it on. It is just a case of slightly stretching the belt over the pinion and slowly moving it round so that it is back in situ.

I am not advocating that you should do it, as I can completely understand the warrenty issue, but I wasn't prepared to wait any longer, and now I have a perfectly working wheel again. In my eyes I didn't have anything to lose.

If you like I can post pictures of the insides and outline the belt that came off in my case - it may just be worth a look....

New CSP Pedals will be here on Monday, and I finally got the pictures of my faulty start button emailed, will see how that goes.

In my mail i asked them to put washer type of guar while they fix the wheel. I do not want to mail the wheel every month to repair. I think i have to wait at least a week until i get respose(juding from what other people say) Before i do anything, i will wait some time fo their answer.

Got all my problems with my wheel sorted working perfectly now should have CSP today.

My freaking Xbox RROD'd on me Friday night! Why can't I catch a freaking break!?

Fanatec's support is getting faster and better it seems. New wheel will be send to me shortly.

That's good.

Honestly I have always been very happy with their support. Once I was able to get it anyway.

They are very friendly, and they do everything they can to get situations resolved.

If the time to response has improved, the the biggest problem is gone (or at least better :) ).

Well finally I have got a response from Fanatec, Armin in particular, who apologised and explained he was on holiday and was not certain that customer support had received my request, so he sent it to them again personally.

He also sent me the RMA form, and advised that I note on it, his advice to me.

As a result, today I received a further e-mail from support, advising me they are sending out a new wheel on Tuesday.

My faith in them has been restored- its just such a shame they have been struggling to cope with support requests and leaving so many people frustrated.

well my wheel has been fine, however my six speed shifter snapped at the base, so i sent fanatec a email with a picture of the busted shifter, i had a new one a few days later. Awesome service

Their service has improved alot since January when I had my first problems.

Got my CSP in and they work awesome but the screw to adjust the clutch position is busted. And I just ordered the tuning kit. Wonder if Armin can get the replacement specs to me before the kit gets here.

Oh and my start button just needed to be adjusted, fixed that in 2 minutes.
