Turbo sound heard?

I hear it with the Lotus Esprit sport or whatever. It's a standard. But everytime I lift off the gas, I hear like a wind kind of like a turbo. Sounds look woosshh. Am I the first one to hear this? You can also hear it on the F40. But I just got a new tv so maybe that made the difference. But I would like to know your guys' opinion/POV. This is the first time I've heard this. Is PD upgrading the sound? hopefully...
 
Depending on the car, you can often hear it if you try hard..
 
Almost any car you can hear it. You either need the music turned down a bit, very good hearing, or a good sound system in the room.
 
Change the sound settings to small or large theatre..
 
Oh thanks guys. I turn off the music when I'm driving. I use the speakers on the tv
 
Since my setup is in my bedroom and I don't want to make too much noise, I use a good headset and yeah I can hear the turbo sound clearly
 
Oh...was it in launch too? I had a surround sound set up (7.1) but I didn't hear it. But I had music on at that time.
 
You can hear the turbo spool and the blowoff valve in the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione very clear on a TV (no headphones). With headphones im sure it would be plain as day. That was the first car I noticed it in. Usually you can hear it a lot better in cockpit view. Lol...play GT2 again and listen to those amazing turbo sound effects:crazy:
 
Those were amazing in GT2. :lol: Quite silent in this one... I noticed it on a stock Impreza '10. Fascinating really, I had thought any form of sound coming form the turbo wasn't in the game.
 
its especially noticeable on the Veyron and X2010/X2011. its the same story on the other high-powered cars.

Didn't know what you were talking about until I took my Veyron out, I heard it clearly. Then I did notice it on my NSX LM Road Car very faintly.

you can hear the turbos and superchargers on ALL the cars with the sound setting in GT5 set to small or large theater. Makes all the difference in the world.
 
Stick one on a Vauxhall VX220 and in hood cam it makes the loudest turbo sound in the world. :crazy:
 
IIIIIIIII thought this was obvious. It seems like it sounds cleaner/natural than when you add a turbo.
 
Any time you go into hood/roof cam, it should be plain as day. I was in an Alfa 8C next to a guy in an EK civic that he put a turbo kit on, and I could hear the Blowoff valve in cockpit view.
 
Hi, guys i know this is an old post, but i think i can share my favorite car turbo sound, the amemiya rx-7 , guys buy it and hear the turbo sound at the 6.5k rpm, dont tune the car, just drive it without tune nothing.
