Turn 1 at daytona road course.

So after finally giving this course a shot, then browsing youtube to compare my driving with other's, I noticed something.

Why doesn't anyone get close to the wall at turn 1?

I know its a suicide line, because if you ride the wall too long, you'll spin due to grass. I scraped it with my m3 by accident once and have been aiming for it ever since.

Is it because everyone drives for points and not fun?

I think because it turns in on itself, you have a better chance of coming out in one piece if you use the tighter line.
