Got a habit with buying standard cars and giving them a new lease of life.. It don't feel right to me to drive a car without doing a engine overhaul and a body rebuild.
Bought a RUF and nearly broke the bank sorting that little minx out, the caterham fireblade was awesome to bring to life, had a messed up engine and felt all choked up so took it to the clinic, wow what a gem that turned out to be... What a car to fling round.
35 years old and caring for cars on GT5... Whatever next.

Can't wait for the yellow bird to appear in the used car sales... Whip it straight in the garage lol.
Funny when I watch B-Spec Bob blasting round in my motors... Keep telling him to decrease pace ha ha.

At the moment I have 2 RUF's, a Yellow bird and a CTR2. I think they both cost me around 200.000 cr. I always keep an eye on the used cars to buy them all. I heard they are 5.

Yesterday I started B-Spec mode... that is boring...zzzzz... I gave my driver more than capable cars to win the first races.

Yes. If you don't perform a body rebuild then the chassis will be warped and the car will handle worse. It's good to do this on occasion to cars you regularly use so that they're chassis stays nice and tight.

Yeah... Need to keep them well looked after... Give it a go, buy a old bashed up car and set a lap then repair it then set another lap, if your a consistant driver you will beat the banger.

My highest km car from new is my Indy oval farming tractor, the white Ford gt racecar from GT4 opening movie it has over 2,000 km's on it. needing to change oil more frequently than when it was new. Can tell by the lap times as they drop by a second a lap or so even if i drive perfectly. This car is a big money maker for me so i might freshen up the whole thing soon but i think its $500k for each. which is pricey lol

My Toyota (minnie as I call it) Minolta 888C has 1.512 Miles on it after being Grinded to Death at Indy , it also did the Indy 500 Race and won that by 15 Laps

At the End of that Race I love that car so much I took it for a Engine Overhaul it went in with 991BHP and came out with 1040BHP , couldn't even grudge the fact the Bill was 500.000cr

Best Car in my Garage it eats everything that it races against :)

On the Indy Oval admittley in the draft of other Cars i've seen 260mph on the Straights its a Amazing Car i'm gutted its not a premium Model i'd pay to get it made into a Premium Car for the good Service its given me 👍

Thanx for the "rebuild" explantation. 👍 will redo it on my cars.

I got some cars that increase HP after driving.

Example:

- Toyota Minolta Racecar, put a greater turbo in it, showed 925 HP, did some races and now it has 932 HP.

What do you mean by "handle worse", and how big are the gains in lap times?

Unless I see the SL500 or 600, I'm not buying standards. I always use cockpit view, it's easy enough to win the races and using cockpit view just enhances the experience. By the way, true story, went down to my not-so-local racetrack today for a track day, and saw a Caterham CSR. It was soo loud and easily the fastest car there.

Im buying all the junks... even bought a 300.000 km bettle.. ( won a trophy for that ) ... i spend half the time i play, reading about cars and collecting rare pieces of art...

\o

I'm doing the same, need money saved for the events, but keep restoring old cars! too much fun racing with my friends, and they say, wow, where you find that!
