Okay, I have the Turtle Beach PX21 headset.
I've had them for 3 years, and in this time both the 'swivel' mechanism's have broke so I have tapped them up, glued them and stickerbombed them to cover the repairs!

Now, yesterday the only wire that enters the headset on the left ear cup seems to have come loose, you can play around with the wire to get the sound back so the speaker is still deficiently working! This just means the wire is loose were the wire goes into the headset.

Any idea's to what I should do?
Someone said I could get a replacement but I doubt they would accept it, due to the fact I've tampered with it in the past and repaired it.
Or should I try fix it myself? Anyone else had this problem!? Maybe your currently experiencing the same problem?

Any Ideas or Opinions would be appreciated!
Thanks! :)

Thanks, I checked and It's not loose at all on the speaker, it's loose in the area where the wire goes into the headset.

And if they won't replace them, crack open the USB converter, desolder the mic wire, solder in a new one (from a dead pair of headphones if you can't find headphone wire to buy from anywhere), cable tie it all the way along the existing wire and mic boom then solder an electret mic on the end. Ultimate zombie style.

Get some PX3 replacements?

I have the PX3s, they're the best for what I'm doing, better than PX5 imo.

'rechargable' wireless (PX5 is not), they connect via USB and/or 3.5mm, with a DSS2 which I have, I can listen to virtual 5.1 surround from my PS3 and PC if I'm so inclined.

UK let's see... 74 pound for PX3 and 55 pounds for DSS2, so 129 pounds all up, that'd be what I'd do... or rather what I did, never looked back, the battery lasts forever, never lags or anything, clear mic, great features, doesn't heat up my head after hours, compact and light.

Buy something that isn't Turtle Beach? From what I've seen from the company, their stuff feels terrible and weak. Buy something more solid and you won't have an issue.

Have to semi-agree with bergauk, PX3 is perfectly fine, however, they do a nice 5.1 PC one, and I've had two friends who used it and it broke (Z6As)

Px3 is not a problem though, unless you're a complete oaf I'd have to say.

Send it in for replacement, or do what Neema_t said. If neither of those, then you will have to find a new pair of headphones. I suggest being venturous and trying a new brand of headphones.

I suggest Sony, they have released new better pair of wireless headphones for the PS3 (I can even get my set to work on the PC for 80% of my games). I have the cheaper ones but ive had them for 1 year and they haven't broke down or degraded so far. You dont have to mess with all the wires or setting them up either. Plug in a simple thumb drive lookn receiver, done.

Thanks guys, update: They worked fine for a while yesterday but now they've finally died, no sound what.so.ever.
I took them apart to see inside, nothing looks out of place, all wires look good.
I've voided my chance for a replacement now, not sure how they would know it's been dismantled, still...

I'm intrested in buying another set of PX21 or maybe the cheaper option; PX11's.
According to my friend the PX11's are the same as the 21's in terms of sound quality, but are just cheaper and less comfortable. Being Turtle Beaches, they really are okay quality, not the best but when looked after they last!
I'm really not one for wireless headphones, and I can't stand re-chargeable ones! THEY SUCK! :D

Like bergauk said, I might actually try some Tritton AX180's, they are pretty much the same spec as the PX21 and around the same price so maybe it's worth trying another make.

Bluemoon, how are you finding the PX21's? Awesome right! ;)
Just look after them, they are pretty delicate :L The wires seem to get loose if they get pulled on alot (seems to be a common problem) Enjoy! :D 👍

Nor sure why you think wireless ones suck, they rock actually, as I said no lag no nothing wrong with them, not a single issue at all, it will cost 124 of your pounds for 5.1 sound, if you're going budget may as well go super cheap, otherwise go all out and invest properly if possible ;)

Noo, I ment that Bluetooth wireless mics suck lol. The expensive Astro wireless headsets with 7.1 surround sound etc are awesome! ;) Out of my budget unfortunately!

A few of my friends have Trittons and yeah, apparently they do have great sound and comfort. As with all headsets, they do wear out eventually but I've never heard anything worse than what Turtle Beach issues can involve.. :/
My friend reckons one of his wires is getting loose and he's not sure how much longer it will last! My PX21's wer're down but not out for a few hours, not weeks! XD

Well i guess get some more TB :D i would give the trittons a try just to see if there good but thats my opinion, good luck!

Haaha, I still don't know! But we'll see!!
I'm not quite the same without my 5.1 headset. ;)

Yep I hear what you are saying about them being delicate. But they are the best accessory I have bought for my PS3. Playing BF3 the guns and explosions sound soo good. The 5.1 sound takes a bit of getting used hearing a jet fade from one ear to the other.

Yeah true, they are used a lot by people for listening into footsteps that the TV can't pick up as well. They're an awesome accessory!

I got the DPX21's a year ago, they were great, 5.1 DSS, but then the ear cup fell off... So I taped it back, and then it just cut out... I was really dissapointed, but they worked great while they were alive!
