Already paying my Isp 4 Access
Oko guys, quick help needed as I will head out to take a solution in the next hours:

My Sony Bravia (Z7000/7500?) series, started today to not give out an image of the cable programs, sound is there, retried a lot, nothing helped.
HDMI is ok that works.

I guess the reciever in the TV is dead, or near dead, it had random artifacts in the image for the last few days when my PC (connected via HDMI) was playing vids.

As the TV is probably out of warrenty (had 5 years), a repair probably is more costly than buying a cheap reciever?

Can anybody give an advice?

Is there a solution to get it working again?
Should I let the TV repair (which will bug me out) or just go ahead and buy a reciever for a 100bucks?

Have you tried replacing the HDMI cable?

^it runs through the inTV cable reciever.

But it magically started to work again while I was connecting a second reciever to find the source of the problem.

Good thing is though, I looked at my billings, and the TV is from end 2008, so I still have warrenty and we have a good service Sony central here, they will replace parts at your home, so if it breaks down in the next weeks, I will let it repair on warrenty.

Dodged a bullet there

No clue what your issue is, because your connection descriptions are .... vague.

What connects to what? "HDMI is OK" is an assumption on your part.

Does the cable box feed the TV through HDMI, or are you tuning cable with the TV's own tuner? If you're feeding the signal from a cable box, what makes you think the issue is the TV and not the source component?

Connecting a second receiver where?

Anytime something "magically" fixes itself while playing with connections, then there was a bad connection that got jostled into place.

The Tv only has one HDMI cable connected, which comes from the receiver (IN).
And a spdif for the sound to the reciever (out).

or are you tuning cable with the TV's own tuner?
Yes, thus
it runs through the inTV cable reciever

I had removed the cable and replugged them in, without change.

Then turned it off, after one hour, turned it on and it worked again.
I presume the TV tuner is slowly going away.

Another possiblity would be that the Logitech Harmony did mess something up. As when I turned it back on and it worked I used the Sony remote.

The most possible problem is that it comes probably from the reciever as it messes up quite often (and it's a Denon)
