My friend and future dormmate is going to gte a TV for his B-Day and it will be for our dorm, so I was hoping you guys had some suggestions!

Requirements:
19"-27"
<$300, including shipping, if absolutely necessary, available at retail stores is preferred
Needs to be able to play GT4 in 1080i

I doubt you can get a TV with 1080i for under $1000.

For $300, you might as well get a nice 27-inch flat screen with component in.

I have no idea about quality, but give this one a look. Otherwise, I would say go with the Philips.

Cheapest TV I've seen that supports 1080i (High definition) was a 15" panel at Wal Mart and it was around $400.

If it helps, my friend informed me that he can go to a $500 price ceiling, shipped. He also says that optical out would be a really big plus. 👍
