I need desperate help with my speed 12 it has no acceleration or top speed evn when i figet with tranny

Well, this is certainly an original thread... 'my speed 12 has no acceleration or top speed'...
Odd for a car that is reputed to have the accelerative force of a black hole, and a recorded top speed of 311.83mph.
What exactly do you mean by 'no acceleration or top speed'? By definition, a car that is this powerful is almost guaranteed to have sharp acceleration or a high top speed - it's quite hard to cripple it unless you're really trying to. So, what have you done to it when you 'figet with tranny'? Reverting to the default settings will most likely fix all of your problems.

In my opinion he has the problem that the Speed 12 doesn't get its enormous power down, which it really doesn't. Therefor, he asks for settings to solve this problem. My take:
- don't add more power
- add maximum weight and shove it all on the rear
- add a rear spoiler for downforce at medium speeds
- use soft tires

and my Daihatsu Opti Club has the acceleration of the Millenium FalcolnThat was gonna be my guess...he's mashing the gas and wheels are spinning like mad.
You might wanna try launching this beast in 2nd or even 3rd gear. And use a bit of TCS (no more than 2) if you're not good with advancing the throttle properly.

I'll agree with the throttle control - although, the apparent gearing changes might have something to do with it, so I guessed for that first. Starting out in second will let the tyres spin up once it's into the powerband, and starting in third will get you nowhere very quickly 
the only way with a car like this is to drive it properly

Well i'm assuming solowing18 is a bit of a newb (at least with supercars) so a bit of TCS might do him good at first. No harm in this; plenty of real-life supercars nowadays have traction controls..and then if solowing gets the hang of it, he should try the Speed 12 without them.

Indeed - or maybe learn driving without traciton control in a slightly less killy car to start with but yes, you're quite right. I was being rather too up in my own ways of driving proudly without aids to remember that we are most likely talking about someone new to driving powerful cars.

To be honest, the Speed 12 is so much different to other TVRs - so much more like a race car - and with a power to weight ratio so far in excess of its kin, practicing with other TVRs doesn't get you that far. It really is just car control, pure and simple, rather than a particular skill for this particular car. Sure, you have to adapt a little, but that's true of any car. The Speed 12 feels most like an LMP1 car without any downforce, really.Venari

I just bought a 787B and spent 10-15 minutes breaking 300. (That was a while ago)
Meh, the Speed 12 is too beastly for anything good to come out of it, too much power for so little weight over the arse end.

Yea, I'd have to agree with you there. The car has so little weight that the wheels jsut spin because of the force. I've put heaps of down force on mine and i can get it going prity good but.. i havnt gettin it above 800bph from bad expericences with my one before hand.

If the wheels spin, use less throttle... I get the feeling that people who complain about cars like the Speed 12 being "useless" because of its power have never actually driven a car in real life that has enough power to overcome its tyres - and so, they don't know how to deal with it.

👍 This would be my advice too.
💡 Very possible. I can deal with it, but it's still quite a useless car IMO and so it was in Mr. Wheeler's (TVR's ex-owner) opinion too.
