so yeah i bought this car thinking holy crap what a beast. i seemed to have tamed it and am testing its power when i notice that when in 3rd and 4th gear just a lil bit after it shifts into both of them the needle on the tachometer/rpm gauge ,(whatever u want to call it), jumps back to the mark where it was when it started the gear. so im loosing about .3-.5 secs on this little gremlin.

mods:
racing exhaust
supercharger
brake balance controller with 4/3 front to rear
racing suspension front to rear and top to bottom
12/10
85/85
damper isnt there
3/3
4/4
2.3/1
0/0
3/3

for my tranny i have going from 1st to final
3.575
3.102
1.88
1.413
1.116
0.927
3.310 i know much about tuning gear ratios so if u have some better suggestions that would be appreciated. not to mention being able to start is second i have no idea on that either.

driving aids only tcs at 10
downforce 10/40
lsd from top to bottom is 30 40 20 dont think i ever touched that since i have no idea on what to do with that either.
and my weight balance is
ballast weight 200 with the other option at +50
theres my tweaking for you hopefully someone can figureout whats wrong by looking at that and i would love it if ppl would also tell me what to tweak on my car to make it run smoother/better etc. and yes i have looked at well over 100 threads in search of the tweaking info.

*cough*

TCS at 10? The system probably senses a little wheelspin in 3rd and fourth, and bogs it back down.

Try driving it without the TCS, just be REAL gentlemanly with this lady's throttle. Gahead and nail it in 3rd and fourth. (Bet is spins the tires TO DEATH, but that's just me. Or maybe it's the S2 tires with 1000hp trying to twist them.)

Take off the blower and you will live in happy(er) home. Put a set of R2s or R3s on it to help stop the madness.

The TCS kicks in at 125MPH again, stopping ALL wheel spin for a brief moment, maybe that is why. Each car you see the TCS flicker on 125MPH, which is the 4th gear in a TVR Speed 12.

and no matter how you tune it, it won't be as fast around track as Lotus Esprit or GT-R with same power level, since it just doesn't have enough traction. 1'44's are the best times I got with it on R3's @ GVS. I can't even imagine how slow it would be on more uneven tracks.:indiff::guilty:

Mmm, Esprit. 900hp, almost as light, and a lot more tractable.

The thing spins R5's at 100mph with the blower. (The Speed 12, thatt is)

Beast describes it correctly.

This is an incredibly light car with insane power positioned in the front (not a very good idea really).

Don't add power to it, it doesn't need it. Then just be gentle on the throttle. It is hard to get a great time with this car, but if driven properly (smoothly and with correct racing lines), it will actually run a very fast lap on courses appropriate to it (the ring, sarthe).

I usually drive it on R1 or R2 tires. It is a much easier car to drive with the G25 instead of the DFP as the GT5 pedals provide much better throttle control.

All good advice given above notwithstanding, bear in mind that any car like the Speed12 is going to be undriveable competatively with PD's current engine in GT4.

The best you can hope for is to get it handleable and go from there.

The mantra to have in mind is that the game is great but falls down at many hurdles (not being able to simulate high torque, high HP, European design being one of them) ...
