Hey I am getting ready to do the TVR Tuscan Challenge, and wondered if anyone has any advice / suggestions on the better car to use and what mods to buy / tuning specs to set so I can have some fun getting that beautiful Speed 12!

i used medium hard slick tyres, and didnt have to pit once, and it still handled beautifully. just get some good suspension. and maybe a stage 1 N/A kit (and some other performance mods like exhaust etc) if your not too confident.

also dont get your hopes up about getting the speed 12 first off.. after you finish the 4th race save the game, then if you want to you can either complete the last race or exit it (its 10 laps on the test course). if you dont get it then re-load your game and keep repeating the process until you get the speed 12.

I love this car. It is fine stock, but I like it much better with a few racing parts added to it. This includes the suspension, the transmission and flywheel, the exhaust, the brakes and the brake ballancer. The engine needs little improvement but this car can be so much sweeter if you add a little more power to it.

If all these additions seem like over kill, you can always add them after the race. But, the car is a lot more fun to drive if you do the previous upgrades.

Thanks for the advice, I will try it out, even though it sometimes takes like 8 or 10 reloads to get the car you want, which can be frustrating!

lol tell me about it, took me about 8 reloads to get mine, but it was worth it, i love the speed 12, its one of the best cars in gt3.

Weird series, though: You win 50k credits for each win, but only 45k credits for winning the championship. Fortunately, the Test Course event is the last one, so you won't regret all the save-reload attempts for the Speed 12.

The Tuscan understeers a little, but it's a decent trade-off for the lack of oversteer. Brake early, plant it into the corner firmly, and you'll have no trouble getting out of the corner neatly; that's one thing I like about the Tuscan. Very predictable handling, overall. You can run T3 tires all around and still have plenty of tire left to make it to the end of the 10-lap race. When you're done, you can hit the British GT series up for a win, or mop the floor with the PD Cup in the Tuscan.

And yes, you have to buy one. There's no way to win it.

yep, just like everyone said stock or barely modified, you probably won't get the speed 12 on your first attempt, or like me you could get it on your first attempt!

Took me only once and I got it, I must be one of the lucky ones. But, then again, it was the wrong color....

I always use the custom trans at least . very few cars seem to have a good stock gear box.

Am I the only one who has noticed that it doesn't seem to matter which car the spotlight is under when you press the button 100% of the time? Sometimes you press it while under the top left car, and you get the bottom right car, which even with the benefit of the doubt that you may have missed the spotlight by a fraction of a second, you should have gotten either the car right before or right after...?!
