Twin Charging?

I doubt any can. Generally, any can have be turbocharged or supercharged, or both, but GT5 does not follow that; they impose their own limits. It certainly would be amazing if GT tuning and modifications went to that level. Even the option between sequential and parallel turbochargers would be great.

Even if they did I don't think you could twin charge it unless the engine is a V format engine like a V6 or V8.
But it would be so cool if we could twin turbo our cars my 800+hp Ford GT should reach a 1000hp with a twin turbo transplant.

Yes you can. For example, BMW 535d engine is a straight 6 twin turbo.

So are RB26detts, 2JZs and alot of other Japaneseanese turbo straight sixes.

And there are a few cars with pretty small basic enough engines like the Golf that are twin-charged with a supercharger and turbo-charger.

I think there was an RX7 that was twin charged, one turbo for low to medium boost, one for high boost..??

It wasn't one of the early ones, it was the version that was released in the mid 90's and had two turbo's in stock form..

I know there's tuning companies in Germany that will twin supercharge a BMW M5, but obviously, this is aftermarket and not factory 'stock'.

The turbo kits in tuning on this game will apply to both a single and twn turbo car, don't think they it matters how many turbo's a car has, it just automatically increases the boost on them all i.e. Veyron has 4 turbo's.

But if you are turbo charging a NA car, I'm presuming it's standard procedure only a single turbo will be added..

Thread revival for relevance of topic. Does anyone know of any cars that can be twincharged (both turbo and Supercharged at the same time).

Other than the Delta S4, no. And even then you can only add a turbo to it.

This thread is also confusing. Was it supposed to be about twin-turbocharging, or twin charging?

Nothing in GT5 is twin-charged with mods, if any of these are in the game; technically these would be 'stock' driven.

Oh, and twin-charging is when a turbo is used with a supercharger; not turbo's.... that would be twin or sequential turbo charging.....

The concept of twincharging was successfully used by Lancia in the 1980s on the Lancia Delta S4 rally car. The idea was also successfully adapted to production road cars by Nissan, in their March Super Turbo [1]. Additionally, multiple companies have produced aftermarket twincharger kits for cars like the Subaru Impreza WRX, Mini Cooper S, Ford Mustang, Nissan Skyline GT-R, Toyota MR2, as well as the GM 3800 Engine, as in the Pontiac Bonneville SSEI, Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, and the Chevrolet Cobalt SS among others.

The Volkswagen 1.4 TSI is a 1400 cc engine – utilised by numerous automobiles of the VW Group – that sees use of both a turbocharger and a supercharger, and is available with eight power ratings:

103 kilowatts (140 PS; 138 bhp) @ 5,600 rpm; 220 newton metres (162 lbf·ft) @ 1,500-4,000 rpm — VW Golf V, VW Jetta V, VW Touran
110 kilowatts (150 PS; 148 bhp) @ 5,800 rpm; 220 newton metres (162 lbf·ft) @ 1,250-4,500 rpm — SEAT Ibiza IV
110 kilowatts (150 PS; 148 bhp) @ 5,800 rpm; 240 newton metres (177 lbf·ft) @ 1,500-4,000 rpm — (CNG version) VW Passat VI, VW Passat VII, VW Touran
110 kilowatts (150 PS; 148 bhp) @ 5,800 rpm; 240 newton metres (177 lbf·ft) @ 1,750-4,000 rpm — VW Sharan II, VW Tiguan, SEAT Alhambra
118 kilowatts (160 PS; 158 bhp) @ 5,800 rpm; 240 newton metres (177 lbf·ft) @ 1,500-4,500 rpm — VW Eos, VW Golf VI, VW Jetta VI

There are cars in the GT series that are already twincharged, but nothing in the GT series can be modified through twincharging.

Im not shure of any cars in the GT series that are twincharged but i know of these cars by Power Enterpise that are

The Delta S4 is (as mentioned above, again) and the March SuperTurbo from GT2.

But none can be modified through twincharging.

I believe the 3000GT/GTO is as well, but only one turbo can be applied as you've said.

I think Corolla Levin '83 is also , I can instal a Hight RPM Turbo kit or supercharger ..

I was wondering if you could install both at the same time through a glitch. Twin turbo's although you technically apply one stage three kit changes both turbo's and updates supporting equipment. thanks to all of you.

I've noticed there may be some confusion as to what this term means, so...

Just to set thing straight....

Twin-charged...

Does not mean...

Twin Turbo...

It means Turbo and Supercharged at the same exact time. This is popular on the LSJ engine, but that car isn't in this game, cause it would be better then most of the Japanese FWD cars in the game. Can't have that, American cars suck...
