Wow! I haven't visit and log-in here for a few months now. And I haven't drift (GT) for awhile, either. My right analog stick is kinda mess up. Anyway, how come I haven't seen any video(s) featuring more than one car drifting? Head-to-head race. Or maybe I just missed something.

Here's a sample: http://nfsuinsider.web1000.com/tanaka_vs_nomura.wmv (watch out for the bandwidth limit)

I want to see something like, GT style. BTW, that site is dead. It was supposed to be a resource site for Need for Speed Underground, but I was too busy to finish it. And there's no need to finish it now because that game is out.

its hard to find someone with that level of skill that lives around the same area.. thanks for posting up that site.. i just registered to it.. going to try uploading my video to it, since 19xx's ftp is gone :(

Also, twin drifting is hard to do in two player mode because the perspective of the track is different compared to one-player mode. Finding someone who has the same skills is the hardest.

Hokay. I was fooling around with this about 2 hours ago. Heres what I do: If I can't find someone thats my level, I do a drift lap whever by myself. Save the replay. Get a new car and load the other drift lap as a ghost. Twin drift with your ghost, its good practice for real people and possibly GT4 online..

Hoi,

I have a twin drift video, but im still trying to find someone to host my video. If some one can help me, that would be great. For the mean time, you could watch Night_Drifter's video, 2PlayerDrifts_Part_2. Its pretty good.

Check out my Twin Drifting video then, its full Twin Drifting Actions and i dont know if people like but i try kind of hard, it took me and akina about 5 hours to do this twin drifting crap, the site is down in the signature, so good luck and hope you people that havent seen it like it.

tnx for the vid, it was badass!

lol.....the last time I tried twin drifting with a buddy, we did the power over drift....

we used the very large hairpin after the long sloping straightaway on trial mountain

we had it very nicely, side by side

next thing before we know it, we both ran smacked into the wall/mountain/guardrail

we called it "twin failure"

lol

Also, the physics are not quite the same in 2 player mode. ;)

i got some tips for twin drifting... higher powered car + higher skilled driver at the rear and is always supposed 2 take inside behind lower powered car

that way, the guy at the rear could contol throttle and angle w/o crashing

works for me and the ghost... or with my friend

That makes two of us... done drifting for now... there are some otha games i wanna check out..

..I stopped for a bit. Still enough to push my skills, though. I'm working on getting The Skyline M-SPEC..

I was experimenting with Twin drifting and watching real life in car videos of it to see the technique. Here is what I've discovered, the follower needs to understand more car control and make good use of the ebrake to maintain the same drift angle of the leading car and not to overtake.

I was practicing in GT3 by loading another persons drift replay and twin drifting with their ghost. Many times, early on I'd find my self drifting right through the ghost when I'd powerover to try and match the angle. What I learned was as a follower, you watch for the leader to take the angle and you can gas it hard and drift towards him, but when you see yourself about to rear end him, pull the ebrake to maintain your drift angle and cause your car to back off, and you can then quickly accellerate and continue the drift to keep up and finish off the drift once you have clear path... This has worked the best and I can maintain a very small distance away from the leader and the replays are very cool.

I'm going to try to make a video of twin drifting with some of the xport files you guys sent me. Silviadrifters replay, I'll try that one if you don't mind.

Sounds good Breaker, can't wait to see the vid. I have also noticed the same thing. Every time I would try to just use power over to stay with the ahead car, I would go right through them. I have my footbrake setup at 13, 24. So I use that in place of the e-brake, and it seems to work pretty well. Breaker and Silviadrifter twin drift, sounds exiting, looking forward to seeing the final product.;)
